She was late and talking in the hall about picking up her mother in law for Thanksgiving... She did nothing for me. Waste of money and time.
Best experience possible. She is by far the best physician I have ever encountered. Great bedside, great staff and so personal. She truly cares about her patients.
I was so worried about my initial colonoscopy with Dr. Murday because of a past experience-she was amazing!
In 2014 Dr. Murday removed part of my colon after a colonoscopy revealed a polyp that could not be safely removed without more extensive abdominal surgery; she was great, except that she did not tell me that there would be a possibility of an incisional hernia after surgery and what steps I could take to prevent such an occurrance. I now have to undergo a second surgery to have the hernia repaired before it could become strangulated. With this one exception, I quite liked Dr. Murday.
I wish their were more doctors like her! She is easy to speak with and really makes you comfortable. Love Dr. Murday!
Saved my life and my sanity from cancer! Beautiful human being.
The absolute best doctor! My angel!!!!
SHE IS RUDE AND ANGRY. TERRIBLE BEDSIDE MANNER
Dr. Murday is by far the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Her bedside manner stands far above others. She is kind, understanding, and knows her stuff! Her staff is also very kind, sympathetic and they guide you through each step of your treatment plan. I would highly recommend Dr. Murday and her staff to anyone in need of this type of physician.
She was absolutely amazing. Helped me through a scary time with professionalism.
I was referred to Dr. Murday by my G.I. after a colonoscopy revealed cancer. She was absolutley wonderful to me. Not only did she come see me before I left the colonoscopy appointment, but when i had my appointments in her office she took all the time needed to explain what was happening and what to expect. I had absolutely no surprises and I never felt like she was rushed. She made sure I had everything I needed including signed papers for my FMLA. She is respected by all of my doctor's and honsetly I would not go to anyone else.
Dr Murday reacted quickly to add my daughter, a new patient, to her schedule immediately with input from the gastroenerologist. She was careful in her assessment and deliberate in her communication. Dr Murday doesn't rush ever and answers all questions thouroughly. Sne reviewed not only the medical needs but also addressed the emotional and social needs of the patient. My daughter had complications and Dr Murday reacted swiftly which resulted in a second surgery. Her post op and recover plans are well known at st Marks and she denands the best from the hospital staff to ensure recovery goes well. Gollow up post surgery is excellent. She visited the hospital every day and offered encouragement and recovery advice. I have been caregiver for many hospital stays and surgeries and have never had better care from a surgeon. She is simply an exceptional healthcare provider.
had gone to Dr. Murday concerning two problems, one being a rash, and the other were fissures. I had seen her several times throughout my course of treatment. She initially treated me only for my rash, feeling the cuts correlated with the rash. The rash cleared up (the cuts were still present), but before I could make my next appointment the rash came back. At my next appointment she wanted to take a culture along with a biopsy. After having the biopsy, I was sent home (3hr travel time), without any medication for the pain! I tried to call them to have a prescription sent to my local pharmacy, to which I kept getting the run-around. Finally a month later, after calling on it several times, I received the results of the biopsy and was told that Dr. Murday would no longer be seeing me. Without any explanation as to why, and was told to go see a Dermatologist for my problem. Last I checked, a Dermatologist doesn't deal with fissures. Regardless I did as they recommended, and the problem still exists to this day. Thanks Dr. Murday for your dedication, what a waste of a year!
Go on the internet and read all the horror stories about hemorrhoid surgery. She recommended PPH, which I had. I was very impressed with how little pain I went through, which I put down to her expertise. She explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I have seen several doctors / surgeons in this area in the past. None compared with Dr. Murday. Waiting times can be long--it's a side effect of having such a great surgeon. I highly recommend if you want things to be repaired correctly.
Thanks for saving my life, I think your bed side manors are great, I don't care what the other reviews say.
I was treated by Doctor Michelle Murday for a very painful Anal Fissure. I found her very pleasant and she took the time to listen carefully to my problems. She also took the time needed to explain exactly what I needed done. She gave me two choices, surgery, or a botox shot. She explained that the botox shot was 60 to 70 % successful and surgery was almost 100% successful. She let me decide what to do. I chose the surgery and she did an excellent job as a surgeon. She and her staff followed up with me and I am happy to say I am finally out of pain.
I have never more affraid to have a procedure, but Dr. Murday was wonderful and made the situation the best it could be. I have no complaints and would recommend anyone to her.
She has a complete lack of bedside manner. She is clearly more focused about the quantity of patients she sees rather than the quality of care provided to each individual. Granted, she performs a procedure that entails risk, but when something bad occurs she does not follow through. Very disappointing. I would not recommend her.
Colon repair - went great. Had much additional surgery done at the same time, went fine, but upon closing up, this was done in haste and very sloppily, resulting in a surgical hernia. When Icalled the office, I was told "don't worry, that happens and it isn't dangerous." My FP strongly recommended I have a different surgeon do a hernia repair NOW, BEFORE it gets dangerous. The nerve of this doctor and her office telling me not to worry is very offensive. She's a sweet person, and a talented surgeon when it comes to colon surgery, but have somebody else do the close-up and don't trust what she says on follow-ups!
When selecting a surgeon to entrust with my life I asked around the medical community. Dr. Murday came highly regarded and now I can see why. In reading some of the comments there are people who had issues with long wait times. Seeing a great Dr. is not like going to a jiffy lube, there are times when she needs to spend a little more time with a patient. You never know when that patient is you. If you want a run of the mill quick service go somewhere else. If you want someone to save your life and to be there for you every step of the way, go to Dr. Murday!
I am much younger than most of Dr. Murday's patients so I was quite nervous about my condition and the operation necessary for treating it. All I can say is Dr. Murday really knew her stuff and explained everything really well, and made sure I understood what was going on. She made me feel comfortable in talking to her about uncomfortable stuff. She visited me every day I was in the hospital. After I was released she called me at home a couple times to discuss how I was doing. The insision was big and nasty but now the scar is hardly noticable. She did an excellent job and I have the utmost respect for her as a doctor and as a person.
Dr. Murday failed to notice a post-op bleed and failed to properly manage the post-op fallout of the bleed (>50% blood volume). Additionally, she is stunninly arrogant, especially in the face of such a disaster.
I am just 12 days out of surgery for a sigmoid colectomy to remove cancer and I can not belive the care that I recieved I don't believe that it could of been better in anyway. Dr. Murday answered all my questions and explained the procedure so I could understand exactly what was going to happen. I had to wait about 20-30 minutes to see Dr. Murday which I think was more than reasonable, her office staff was extremely helpful with all the paper work that I had to fill out and explaining what I needed to do before my surgery. The surgery went very well from my stand point and my recovery at this point in time is exactly as Dr. Murday said it would be. I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Murday, Dr. Waldron and the office staff to help me and my family during this time in my life.
Unprofessional staff. Long wait before every appointment (one time it was 2 hrs!). Minnimal information/ responsiveness. I was treated like an inconvieniece!
Dr. Murday is a knowledgeable professional who cares. She is devoted to her patients, and I would not want any other doctor helping me through this difficult time in my life.
First of all, I'm a medical professional myself and I've known many docs. I met Dr. Murday for my first colonoscopy. Others I asked about their experiences with other doctors described more of an assembly line experience where you are one of many being hearded through. That was not my experience. I first saw the nurses who each took time to explain what was going to happen and make sure my questions were answered and I was taken care of. Not a curt one in the bunch. I saw Dr. Murday in the proceedure room. She explained more detail about the medications and technical stuff. She then followed up with me in the recovery room to explain her findings and answer my questions. She was not only professional and knowledgable, but very upbeat and easy to ask questions of. Most reassuringly an RN volunteered that Dr. Murday was known for being very thorough. I'd take that over a warm fuzzy interaction any day. fortunately I don't have to choose. The whole experience took a total of 2 hours and it was a breeze... which is a good thing since my prep did not go well and I'll have to do it again. Woohoo! Yep she's thorough. (and for those saying "yeah sure she wants the money" I saw the pics... I should do it again.) I'll be going to here again without any reservations.
Dr. Murday is a very caring and wonderful doctor. I appreciate her concerns. She even offered to make a house call with my problems. What? Someone who really cares!!!!
