Dr. Miranda Renfrow, DO

Doctor is an excellent doctor very pleasant very informative.

Dr. Renfrow and staff do a fantastic job, work well together and always informed about what was happening next.

I was "assigned" to Dr Renfrow upon the death of my previous ophthalmologist. My initial visit was unremarkable-I didn't really like her personally, but thought she did an OK job. Upon calling to schedule my 1 year follow-up, I found she no longer worked where I had seen her before, even though she had been there for a very short time. I needed to be seen quickly, and my previous office had a relatively long wait for a new patient visit with another physician. Since I was an established patient with her, I called her new office. She was able to get me in the same day. The office was barely put together. I found out they had only been there a week. Things were very disorganized, and my exam was sorely lacking. She looked in my eyes and said they were too dry for my exam to be valid. She stated my eyes had changed too much from previously and refused to give me a prescription. She tried to pressure me to purchase some extremely expensive eyedrops, and when I told her I couldn't afford… them and would use the OTC ones she recommended, she gave me a 2 week supply to use. She instructed me to return in 2 weeks and she would complete the exam. Upon return, no one else was in the office but her. She did not ask me for an office visit or indicate in any way that she was expecting me to pay. I signed nothing and received no invoice. She checked my eyes again, and I asked her if they were better. She stated,"A little, but not much", and gave me my prescription. A couple weeks later, I got a call from a collection agency for bill from her office for an entire new eye exam, not even discounted, even though she hadn't completed the initial one. Upon inquiry, I was informed that she had closed her office, and they didn't know where she was going. I refused to pay the bill without further explanation and continued to receive collection calls until they finally gave up. They were never able to refer me to anyone who could help me with the billing question or inform me where I could obtain my records!

It is interesting; I fired an office manager who embezzeled . She used the same verbiage as the person who commented on social media. I haven't been on social media for years.

Great staff, great atmosphere in the office and the doctor is very personable and will listen to your questions and concerns.

Dr Renfrow although pleasant during exam seems very unprofessional. She and her staff seemed to want to commiserate during my appointment about every other doctor in town!!! They were not so quietly saying some pretty negative statements while patients were still there. Even going so far to continue her tirades on social media!!! Very unprofessional indeed!!! I would AVOID this the vortex or negativity. There are many other Eye Surgeons in town with much more professionalism

I was very comfortable and relaxed and it was a very positive experience as far surgery is concerned.

Do not use this doctor. She is guilty at the very least of patient abandonedment. She left her practice with out performing scheduled POST OPERATIVE checks on my family member. If a complication or infection occurs, there is no one to treat it.

Dr. Renfro is now in Tulsa. Worth the drive to go see her. She is compassionate and knowledgeable and put me completely at ease. Her office staff are professional and friendly from the receptionist to the assistant to the appointment maker. It is nice to go somewhere where the staff appears to enjoy their job, and put you as their first concern. I was very impressed.

Dr Renfrow is very professional and makes sure that I understand every step in my eye care she takes no chances when it comes to my care,her office staff are also very professional and courtious,I have recieved the best diabetic eye care available and will continue to see her for the remainder of my vision needs.
