it took 3 weeks after my appointment to get an exam scheduled that she said would be 3 days - hospital blamed her for not following through - now 5 weeks after the test I have not heard from her about results - does not return calls

While she is very personable at the office visit the ball seems to be dropped pre and post surgery. A family member scheduled for aortic aneurysm surgery was told to come back the following day after showing up at the hospital for her surgery because there was a late start. While it was appreciated that a risk was not wanted to be taken starting the surgery late,(ie..shift change, infection risk etc) the staff was negligent as well as the Dr in communicating with patient and staff. Surgery was rescheduled the following morning earlier and another delay ensued as we were told by staff that Dr Moise was "stuck in traffic" in Middleburg Hts (we live in North Ridgeville, FLORIDA and North Olmsted and made it to hospital an hour before scheduled time!) After the surgery was started LATE AGAIN we were given complimentary cafe gift cards for 10$ for coffee etc for our trouble!!! My biggest issue was that after the surgery Dr Moise did NOT talk to the patients family directly, she called the receptionist who put us on a common phone to discuss the 51/2 hour abdominal aortic surgery of our loved one! All would have been settled had she just faced us personally and NOT via phone whilst in the next room! We could see that other patients coming in for minor surgery had the surgeons coming out personally talking to the family! The receptionist and janitor had more empathy and compassion! One the patients family members is an RN in Florida and was disgusted and blown away by the lack of care given at this hospital and by the Dr. My heart is heavy to say the least! Seems to me as if the operating room is run with less care than the cafeteria as the cafeteria had the courtesy to tell us long before when they would be helping us and made sure they exceeded our expectations! SHAME!
