My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and was told that all she needed was a Masectomy and no chemo. Went to Sloan Kettering and they found more cancer cells and has to do chemo then masectomy and then more chemo. Was grateful that cancer was found but doctor should be more thorough.

He implanted a Kugel Composite surgical Mesh to repair a hernia, which was a recalled product, and had the potential of causing death. I required an emergency surgery to remove the infected mesh, and he did not tell me it was a recalled product. Dr. mandava was the chief surgeon at St. Johns and should have known about the recall product. The hospital staff should have also had procedures in place to prevent this malpractice from occuring.
