Dr. Nasir Uddin Ahmed, MD

They treat there visitors like trash. There is ABSOLUTELY NO real dedication/heart that goes into this Drs Office. It shows through the behavior or the staff. It also shows through the way that speak, close doors, end the conversation with you like you weren't even have a conversation with them anyways.

We have been taking our daughter there for 4 years now. Nasir always answers any questions we have even at 3 in the morning. Very clean office and I really like that staff. They are all very nice to my husband, daughter, and me every time we are there. I recently even called him on Saturday and he helped treat my daughter over the phone and scheduled an appointment for that Monday. We would NEVER go to any other doctor for her and are having another child any day now and she will be seen by him as well.

I am in complete shock and total disgust with this “pediatrician Dr. Nasir U. Ahmed, MD” and his staff!! My 2 sons and I go to Poe Springs today, Friday for a field trip and my son who is 15 was pushed from the top of the high deck (at the bottom there was only 4 ft of water depth) and he landed on his side, THANK GOD HE DIDN’T LAND HEAD FIRST. He didn’t tell me someone “pushed” him until after we left and were in the car driving home. My husband is a doctor in LC and I’m on my way to pick him up from work. I decide to drop in CVS before we leave and see what they have for my son’s pain and his ear starts to hurt him intensely at this point, but I’m still not very worried thinking it’s only water in his ear at this point. I speak with the pharmacist and he recommends something for swimmers ear but they are out of it so he tells me that rubbing alcohol would work so I buy it and go to the car where my 15 year old is awaiting relief... I pour just a capful of the alcohol in his bad… ear and immediately he screams in pain! Hearing his reaction to the alcohol got me very worried and I thought for sure something was really wrong. I look across the street and see the “Urgent Care Center” so we drive across the street and look at the time, it was 4:40. I am so relieved and hopeful thinking we found help! I park the car and my agonizing 15 year old who is crying out loud in pain follows me to the door, it is locked. There is a patient in the waiting area at the time so I glance at the hours on the door and it reads “9-6.” I knock on the window and the gentleman turns around and shakes his head as to not knowing why the door is locked. My son is standing up bent over to his side with head in his hands cupping his ear. I knock again and the front desk lady finally looks up from her desk. She comes to the door and asks me if I have insurance and when I tell her “no that I am paying cash” she tells me that the doctor is not seeing new patients after 4:30. She sees my son is in agonizing pain and says “sorry” with an apathetic look. I tell her, “could he just look real quick with his scope to see if he busted his eardrum and that my husband is a doctor...could he please take a quick look to make sure everything is okay? “Just a quick look to see if everything is okay...”No, I’m sorry she says as she is closing the door.” I open the door and say “are you serious it’s only 4:45??” “I ask her to please ask the doctor... She closes the door and locks it. She comes back a couple minutes later to tell me “the doctor says he is not seeing new patients.” I tell her “I want to speak with the doctor please.” I ask her if she is his wife (because I had a strong feeling she was)... She ignores me, closes and locks the door again. A couple minutes later another girl comes to the door and unlocks it and tells me that the doctor is not seeing new patients and that I should go to the emergency room. I tell her I just need him to look and I will fill out any paperwork but could he please take a quick look, I just want to make sure his eardrum isn’t perforated. I live in Lake City and just want him to look quick. “I’m sorry if you don’t leave I’m going to have to call the cops.”?? “Seriously!? “I’m coming to the Urgent Care Center for my son and your office is open until 6 and you are going to call the cops on me if I do not leave??? “If you want you can see the other urgent care center around the corner” she says. “So you are telling me your going to call the cops or I could go to the other urgent care center??” At hearing this I felt so angry. I decide to drive to Lake City to an urgent care center and the doctor sees my son and quickly gives his diagnosis... Why am I in complete shock and total disgust with this “pediatrician and his staff? Dr. Nasir U. Ahmed you should not be practicing medicine sir. You should not be allowed to see children sir and you absolutely should not be treating in an URGENT CARE FACILITY when you don’t give a CARE. My husband is an excellent and caring doctor and he would NEVER do to a patient what you did to us. There were 4 witnesses, 1 man inside and 2 women outside that saw and heard the entire thing.

High Springs Pediatrics are accommodating and extremely helpful when caring for my three daughters. We have been seeing Dr. Ahmed for four years and it has always been a positive experience. I can call and get my children scheduled for the same day if needed. They are always efficient when getting referrals and documentation to the proper people. My twins have seen several specialist and the clinic is pivotal part in scheduling of all the girls appointments and follow ups. Dr. Ahmed has a great bed side manner and my girls adore him. They feel comfortable and safe with him. My children and I adore the family aspect of their practice. An added bonus is Mrs. Ahmed greeting you upon arrival to the clinic. I have referred my entire family to Dr. Ahmed. I would highly recommend their office for your pediatric needs.
