Dr. Neal Richard Florence, MD

I have been going to Dr. Florence for years and he is wonderful. He truly listens and really cares for me. I highly recommend him.

Because of the caring attention, support and guidance I received from Dr. Florence I am grateful and happy to say that I am 4 years sober today!!!

Dr. Florence is focused on giving his patients the medicine that would be most helpful to his patients. He is a concerned doctor.

I am not a review writer , by chance I came across his reviews because I lost my contacts and for whatever reason my cloud account was messed up . I googled his name to retrieve his phone number to put back in my phone and schedule my next appointment. In doing so I stumbled across his reviews at first I thought this must be another doctor with the same name . Upon further reading I realized that this was in fact my doctor. Now obviously his over all rating was good ,but reading the derogatory reviews I was mortified to say the least . I am in a business where reviews can have a drastic impact on the success of my organization but I have also come to realize the effect of misleading or inaccurate reviews typically written by unreasonable irate customers. Which in some cases are warranted. Dr Florence is not a salesman,he also isn’t selling products . He is a healthcare professional, and at times I am sure he must inform patients of things they simply don’t want to hear . In addition he… has the awesome responsibility of prescribing or not prescribing medications that he believes will help there symptoms. I have been being treated by Dr. Florence for over three years . I was referred to him by a friend whose wife was one of his patients. Which I believe is the majority of his patients,referrals not from there doctors or insurance companies but actual patients . I too didn’t always agree with his methods of treatment nor did I always agree with his decisions to continue with a medication or to stop using. However thru his obvious professionalism he gained my trust, and it has changed my life . My only regret is not meeting him earlier in life . His patience,empathy,and overall bedside manner cannot be overstated. When I first started treatment with him he wasn’t in my network, the condition I was in I didn’t care and he graciously worked with me . Thru treatment I have come to realize that this man has committed his life to helping people become the best version of themselves. I am not writing this review (the first review I’ve ever written) for Dr. Florence,I am writting it for anyone who is truly looking to change their lives,and the lives of their loved ones.

After a few sessions, could not reach him several times by phone. Went to his office to try and see him. No answer. He disappears now and then in addition to not returning calls! Whatever happened to "First do no harm"?

Don't listen to the whack jobs below. I have seen this guy for near term years he is a great listener. Gives great feedback. .... several times in the shifting area I have witnessed one of these loony patients half to be practically shoved out the door cause they won't shut up.they carry on with their inane questions and gibberish in forever. We have apointments also. Plus he is not your dad, uncle, priest or best friend. He is a doctor. Please consider the sourcr of negative reviews I.e patients looking for a friend. The only bad thing is he does get over booked sometimes but I havr never had to wait more than twent five min max.

I WAS IN HIS OFFICE THE OTHER DAY AND NEEDED A PRIOR APPROVAL FOR MY PRESCRIPTION FOR THE P.A. AND HE WOULD NOT DO IT FOR ME SO WHAT IS THE SENSE OF EVEN GIVING THE SCRIPT OUT HE HAS TURNED SINCE I HAVE KNOWN HIM FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS AND GOING TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER ONE THAT IS BETTER . SO IF YOU WANT A DOCTOR THAT WILL TURN ON YOU AND YOU HAVE THE 03 P.A. CARD SE HIM . I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM TO YOU AT ALL AND HE IS A JERK NOT A DOCTOR.....

The worst I have ever experienced. Would not communicate clearly with me or even both to tell me what I was being diagnosed with. Just filled out a prescription and sent me on my way. When I asked if I could have more in-depth consultations with him, he laughed and said that would be out of my price range.A few months later when I was committed to a mental institution, I called him and he abruptly told me that once a patient is committed, he is no longer responsible for him or her. To paraphrase, he said, "You are no longer my responsibility and I refuse to discuss your case with the physicians there. They're responsible for you now."This guy is downright unethical and uncaring.
