Dr. Neil Michael Barth, MD

I've gone through several doctors over the last two years and a few were OK. Dr Barth is in a league of his own. Ahead of his time for sure. I am so happy to have him after spending the last two years in Southern California at the City of Hope. I never expected to find a genius like Dr Barth in Hawaii were I live. I'm a lucky guy. Dr Barth is the best thing to happen to me since I was diagnosed with a terminal cancer according to the other doctors. I can't say enough about Dr Barth. I have a rare and deadly cancer that Dr Barth understands in detail. He really is brilliant!. A real blessing for sure. I know I can beat this cancer with Dr Barth. The other doctors all said I'd be dead within two months and here I am alive and with a great doctor and doing great in complete remission.

I had been told after surgery that I did not need chemo, that the surgeon had removed all the cancer. My employer took a survey of all the doctors at his gym and asked them to come back with the best at Hoag. They all came back with the same name, Neil Barth. Dr. Barth said there was no way the surgeon could tell that because the cancer had eaten through the wall of the colon and could be any where. It has been 14 years and thankfully I am cancer free, thanks to Dr. Barth. I miss our visits and talks and hope you are truly happy on your new path. Sandy

I have been a patient of Dr. Barth for 7 years. He's one of the brightest, most attentive, thorough and humane physicians I have come across. I am grateful to have had him as my physician. I hope he continues to be a great asset in the field of Cancer Care.

God complex to the extreme!

Dr. Barth saved my mom's life. She was diagnosed with multiple myeloma 22 years ago when there was no treatment. Her oncologist gave her 6 months to live so my parents decided to look elsewhere. Dr. Barth took her as a patient after which she had a 12 year remission. Keep in mind, this is after having been diagnosed with a terminal cancer. He is a sweet man with a great bedside manner and would drop anything if a patient needed him. I am very thankful for him and as others have already said here, we think of him as a saint in our house.

I strongly disagree with the positive comments made by others. After experiencing this doctor's treatment and his cavalier attitude, I would NEVER recommend him to anyone.

I found Dr. Barth extremely attentive, did not rush through things and answered all my questions. The staff were professional, friendly and courteous.He will continue as my Doctor treating my breast cancer.

I feel very lucky to have Dr. Barth as my oncologist. He knew what was important to me and made sure that I survived breast cancer in order to experience it all. 17 years later I am still living my life and enjoying all the accomplishments of my family.

He is the best Doctor in the world --- seriously! I am battling Stage iv breast cancer and I feel like he is a gift from GOD.

GOOD and to be TRUSTEDDr. Barth is first rate. He is good and knows most everything that is current and important for Cancer treatment. With Hoag Hospital there is NO better treatment in the known WORLD!That is a truthful statement. We here in the OC dont have time to be down long and Dr. Barths staff is very good at aiding and understanding this. A dynamic and up to date center for the management of CANCER and related side-effects this is good when you desire to move along as fast as possible.
