Dr Neil Ferrara

I went to this doctor since I was told to see a gastroenterologist since I could not keep down food and the list of food keeps growing. I felt I was not listened to since every visit I keep repeating myself saying no this is why I’m here and that diagnosis was not confirmed it’s why I was sent here. I was sent for multiple test. What really bothered me were two visits in particular. While preparing for the endoscope, the doctor and nurse were arguing about vacation time while I’m in the room waiting for the procedure. Then when I was in the recover room, another nurse other then mine came over and said she taking too long. Give her apple juice, then said to me here get up, here your stuff and started preparing the bed for the next patient as I’m sitting in the chair. Then I finally was sent for the lactose intolerance test, which could not be performed. I was told by the nurse I needed to be treated before retaking the test. I called both offices multiple times. They just wanted to… reschedule the test. I explained I’m not going to keep spending two days to prepare for the same results, I’d like someone to call back to speak with me. After multiple calls with no return but to just reschedule and this going on for months, I stopped going to this doctor and will not return. The office and billing did not return multiple calls when I asked and was told someone would.

I would not recommend this doctor, he doesn't take the time to listen. He left me in the room talking to myself about my health. My husband had to leave and find him to continue the conversation. I fell like he's doing a big favor for me when I know my insurance is paying him a lot of money. I will not be returning. I feel very uncomfortable speaking with him, I feel like I'm bothering him

My wife and I had very good experiences with Dr. Ferrara. We recomed him to relatives and friends

Dr. Ferrara spent time with me. He listened to me. He offered good advise and performed a procure that really helped me. He called the next day with biopsy results and further advise. He answered all my questions and did not rush me! It is rare to find a doctor that give his time, knowledge, but more important his compassion and concern.

Not only was he not truthful, he rudely barked at me, and seemed like a drunk... definitely not reliable and needs to check himself before he wrecks himself.
