Have you seen Dr. Neil Schecker?
March 9th, 2010caring and compassionate
April 22nd, 2008dissociative disorders, depression, developmental problems
Dr. Schecker is the best dissociative disorder psychiatrist I have ever seen. He is empathic, not tied to a particular school of therapy, and he is the only psychiatrist with whom I have ever bonded. He sees people as they are, not as disorders. He treats depressive disorders and developmental disabilities as well, and I'm sure he's excellent in those areas. He combines talk therapy with an excellent understanding of psychotropic drug therapies, and he's available for phone calls between sessions. I would recommend him wholeheartedly.
