I was treated like a drug addict, although I have psoriatic arthritis. He was "proud" of me for taking my pain medication as prescribed. I'm not 5, I'm a 70- year old woman who ALWAYS takes my medications as prescribed. He also allowed me to suffer a week-long withdrawal from pregabalin, as, after he called in sick on the day of my appt for medication refills, he wouldn't provide one pill several days later, so I wouldn't be too sick to make the drive on windy mountain roads to provide his required urine test. He's the absolute worst doctor I've ever seen, and I've had some real doosies over my lifetime.

I have seen Dr Dahlgren for only a few months when he resided UNM Sandavol Regional pain clinic. He was very attentive & helped me out a lot when he was my pain provider. If anyone knows where he is practicing, please send me an email so I can start to see him again.

I was impressed with the amount of care Dr. Nels Dahlgren showed. His office staff however, did not reflect this. They were only satisfactory. I thank him for his understanding and thorough exam and treatments.

I met with Dr. Nels Dahlgren before and after having extensive spinal fusion - a time period of several months. He always patiently explained why and how the medications that he prescribed were going to be effective at managing my pain.

Dr Dahlgren is an excellent pain doctor. He cares. he knows his stuff. I've had a chronic pain issue for many years. Thanks to Dr Dahlgren, I feel better that I have for years.
