Dr. Barbaro is an excellent neurosurgeon in all respects. Timely office visits answering all my questions. He did my Chiari decompression surgery and I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon.

I had a ruptured Arterious Venous Malformation that her surgically respected and removed successfully, with no negative effects. When he told me on a Sunday he had scheduled me for surgery on Tuesday. I was sassy, and told him he had to tell me what my options were. Dr. Barbaro told me, You don’t have any options. You’re a walking time bomb. And I replied, Please do a good job. He did a perfect job. When a surgeon informs a 37 year old who thought of themself as being generally healthy, you realize time is your most valuable comodity. I can’t guess how many times every year over 33 years I have thought of him, and I will always be grateful to him, and to my co-worker who got me to an emergency room on a lunch hour. I know I am one of so many grateful patients, and very recently, after all these years, i sent Dr. Barbaro a thank you note. He is 100% competent, honest and trustworthy.

After having one to ten seizures a day back in my school yeas, back on 1-27-88 Dr Barbaro performed his professional skills with me at the UCSF Medical Center. It is now thirty years after that surgery. I’m still up and running wild but with no seizures. If I ever needed anymore fussing around done with my brain, Dr Barbaro ????
