Dr. Nicholas E. Fay, MD

As a healthcare provider in the ER, you would expect to get prompt treatment which should include: assessing the patient's problem, diagnosing the patient, creating a treatment plan for the patient, and provide an explanation for their findings and/or acknowledge the lack of any findings. All of the above was not done by Dr. Fay. This ER doctor was condescending and un-acknowledging, and he failed in his duty to give comfort/support, and assurance or direction for next steps. Not to mention - he had horrible bedside manner. Spent a total of 11 hours in the ER (of that was 6 hours in the waiting room). I had diagnostic tests completed and was given medications for my symptoms. Then in the end, he told me word for word: "Your test results came back and you're fine, no findings, didn't see anything so you're being discharged.. from what I can see - there's nothing wrong with you, but what I can see is that you're full of poop (And walked away)." Meaning = "you're full of $#!+". No… discharge instructions, no recommendations, no follow up care, NO EXPLANATION TO THIS COMMENT HE MADE WHATSOEVER. Whether or not the diagnostic tests came back negative for any abnormalities, this is not the way to discharge a patient. Not appropriate. Also complained to multiple staff about this provider and they all agreed about his work ethic and demeanor.
