Dr. Nicholas Augustine Walsh, MD

My mother has seen Dr. Walsh on and off over the past 28 years. He told me that he has writing her scripts for anything she asked for and as a result of this her mental health has gotten worse and worse over the years. When bringing her into the Mount Vernon Hospital ER a year and a half ago he told me the best thing I could do is move to the west coast and forget I have a mother. I was shocked to see such an unprofessional individual.

My experience with this Doctor (emergency room) was that he was rude and dismissive of my concerns. He wrote inaccurrate information in my medical record which caused confusion about my care. He was even rude to my regular Doctor when she tried to communicate with him on the phone. Some people should not be in medicine, let alone psychiatry!!

I have had many horrible experiences dealing with this doctor. He has prescribed drugs for me that are very harmful and he has not been available for me when I ran out, which led me to withdraw nightmare on a couple of the things he prescribed to me. I would not recommend him for anybody.

He does not know how to deal with people.
