Dr. Niloufar Ilani, MD

She is a great doctor. She detected my thyroiditis when no other doctors can and explained it to me what it meant and answered my questions after office visits. First visit can be rough because she wants your respects, but she is friendly after first visit. People need to calm down.

To start, my appointments were at 8am so I was always the first patient but she consistently took me to 1 of 2 rooms 15-20 minutes late. In addition, her front office staff person was completely incompetent. I went to the lab in the same building as her office 3 separate times so they could take a sample but each time they had not received the lab slip from her office, despite my having called them to remind them to send the slip, which is not the patient's responsibility. Overall, Dr. Ilani's bedside manner is lacking. She barely explained my endocrine problem. During a follow-up appointment where I received an ultrasound of my neck, she opened the treatment door when she was ready to end my visit (which looks into the waiting room) before allowing me to ask questions so I felt like my questions were unwelcome. After my last visit, she called me to inform me of my lab results and asked that I go to the lab in the next 6 weeks to see how my medication was interacting. I… completely forgot that I was supposed to do this because I answered her call when I was busy at work. So this was completely my fault, but when I tried to resolve the misunderstanding with her over the phone, she tried to explain something to me over broken cell phone reception. When I called a few days later to again try to resolve what happened, she talked over me and did not respond to any of the questions I asked her. Instead she began a long explanation about me not being a good patient and how I'm not serious about my health and if that's the case then I should probably find a different doctor. It was completely unprofessional. I have never been treated so poorly by a doctor before! Do not waste your time, money, or piece of mind with this doctor.

she's the worst doctor i have seen in my life! she ordered bunch of lab works multiple times and after weeks of stress and waiting she had no idea what i had, and when i went to get a second opinion she become a big child!!

She didn't seem like she cared. I feel like maybe she's in the wrong profession.
