Dr. Nimisha K Parekh, MD

As a fellow healthcare worker, it’s really hard for me to write an unpleasant review for anther doctor, but I do want to warn the public about her... She worked on my family member, and had a serious complication due to her poor skill. (I.e. another doctor had to fix the mistake) What was appalling is that she lied about it afterwards and was arrogant, heartless with an extremely rude attitude! Needless to say, we switched our care elsewhere. I don’t think she should practice medicine at all, obviously she is not that good at it, she hates what she does, and doesn’t give a second thought about her patients... These bad doctors think they are untouchable by hiding behind the UCI entity and don’t have to deal with the medical malpractice lawsuits themselves and have no consequences when they screw up which make them all the more dangerous and careless. They should really leave medicine and have someone who is better, more caring and not burned out to take their place, it'll be good for… both the patients and their own well-being... Something I was told during my medical school days “Just because your doctor is nice doesn’t guarantee they are good, but there’s definitely No good Mean/Rude Doctors.”

I've been seeing her for almost 8 years. So, I had a great PPO, however during open enrollment I could get the best PPO money can buy so I did. After I called UCI to make sure they accept it. They said yes. Well, Dr. Parekh and UCI aren't contracted with Blue Shield. And I can't go back to my old not so good PPO. I'm screwed. This Dr. Is a leader in research for Crohn's and colitis among other digestive diseases. She is the best of the best. For example, I was hospitalized at famous Cedars Sanai for a week for Crohn's flare up. The head Gi doctor there learned from DR Parekh. Last week I was hospitalized at Mission Hospital in orange county for a Crohn's flareup and what do you know the head of the G.I. department at that hospital learned and was educated by Dr. Nimisha Parekh. I'm devastated UCI have me misinformation. If you can see her, she is world class. Best in this country. I only go to best of the best.
