This doctor is an abusive menace. I was in dire need and stayed with her for two years or more. I finally began to get better with other help and she systematically undermined me, denied me, trashed me. She should not not not be allowed to practice medicine. She is a terribly harmful person. I was so lucky to get away from her. NO STARS. BIG RED FLAG. I tried to find out how to report her as an abusive psychiatrist and couldn't find any recourse. STAY AWAY IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY.

Dr. Reddy is incompetent as a psychiatrist. She is unable to treat a person as an individual. It is completely irresponsible of her to take on a patient who has experienced abuse. In this case she is harmful. Her license should be revoked.

Doctor's Response

( -parental abuse which the above pt.is refering to-) sometimes decipline by parents esp.of older generations, may be interpreted as abuse. I try to encourage my patients to practice forgiveness and not use that as an excuse to justify their inability to accomplish in life and instead feel entitled, demanding and dependant. it takes a lot of courage and persistance & an ability to understand your parents motives.differentiate between' abuse 'vs decipline.most were hard working immigrants who only wanted the best for their children,& at times the punishment may have been harsh compared to todays standards. Not everyone can have a successfull outcome in therapy ,some are very resistant to any changes and these individuals sadly remain/choose to be angry for the rest of their lives and transfer the parental anger on to the therapist/(or onto a significant person in their lives), which ofcourse is part of therapy, but detrimental if a pt.stops therapy at that most crucial & difficult stage which only fuels their their anger ,now redirected on to the psychiatrist/therapist as being incompetent, irresponsible and harmful.
