Dr. Norman Richard Relkin, MD

After my mother began exhibiting signs of dementia my father and I consulted a number of prominent NYC neurologists; Dr. Relkin was the first physician who correctly diagnosed her as suffering from frontotemporal dementia. Reversing her illness was impossible but his treatment plan provided her with the best possible quality of life under the circumstances and he was always tremendously patient and compassionate with all of us. I will always be grateful for the quality and manner of his treatment, Dr. Relkin is a rare and outstanding physician.

Besides being an incomparably brilliant, world class neurologist, Dr. Relkin has apparently become expert in fields impacted by neurological considerations because his observations and suggestions in related fields have led to far more successful outcomes than going to top specialists. This is so helpful because in crises, it allows the patient to have an overview of his medical situation through one set of expert eyes. Dr. Relkin is an extraodrinarily smart and wise person with what appears to be a highly retentive and inquisitive mind which seeks and is able to find answers in complex situations. His dedication to medicine and to his patients is truly extraordinary. He has made himself available even at those times when nobody else can be reached--such as week-ends, middle of the night, and holidays--- for which our family will always be grateful. Also, it's impossible to accurately describe Dr. Relkin without pointing out how unusually gracious, polite, charming and… kind he is---a true, true gentlemen in a field with far too few of them (to put it mildly!)

Besides being caring and very courteous. He is by far, the top neurologist today. He knows more about neurology than anyone in NYC!
