Dr. Norman Shaia, a native of Orange County, attended California State University at Fullerton where he received his undergraduate degree in the Biological Sciences. He then moved to Omaha, Nebraska to complete his Doctor of Medicine at Creighton University. Dr. Shaia began his Internal Medicine Residency at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona in 1998. After completing his residency in 2001, he began his Cardiology Fellowship training at UCLA-Harbor Medical Center in Torrance, California. After graduating from UCLA in 2004, he pursued an advanced Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at University of Arizona. He joined Cardiac Care Consultants, Dr. Nicchi, Dr. Petein, and Dr. Pakula in September 2005. Due to his extensive training, he is able to offer non-invasive, invasive, and interventional cardiology services in both Sun City and Sun City West areas.

A little on the arrogant side. Acted like I was beneath him. Gave the bare minimum of information. Did not monitor my potassium levels while prescribing me diuretics.

Dr Shia, is very thorough and takes the time to really understand your issues. I would highly recommend him to anyone for their heart related needs.

Dr Shaia was a second opinion doctor last yar. I am very glad of that. I have and wil recommend him to friends etc. I have never had a problem with his staff and Jessica is great.

Dr. Shaia always listens and hears me when I have questions he talks to me like I am import and and is never in a rush to get me out of the door. He is always kind and knowledgeable. Staff is always courteous and nice.
