Dr. Normal Simon, DO

This doctor delivered life altered, termina doagnosis to me as if it was pizza delivery. I am not asking to hold my hand or anything like that however there was zero personal attitude, no interest in investigating any experiments options, Etc. He is a good doctor in terms of reading from a book (which I can do myself). I’m going to a different rheumatologist.

I first went to Dr S last year for an arthritic hand. Within minutes of meeting me for the first time, he dx’d a genetic condition that explained a dozen inexplicable, seemingly unrelated conditions: hearing loss and an aneurysm, among them. It answers a multitude of questions for me, and it answered some for my family as well. The cardiac issues are not actually unrelated: we all present differently, but there’s no question that an aneurysm here, a murmur there, an aortic dissection a generation back, are linked through the magic of genes. And because of Dr Simon, my surgeon had crucial information before a hip replacement last spring and my audiologist was able to tell me why/how I’d lost so much of my hearing.

If you're seronegative don't see Simon. He ignored my symptoms, didn't read my history, neglected even a cursory exam, and pronounced my serious autoimmune disease to be fibromyalgia. Then dismissed me.

I find Dr. Simon kind and compassionate. Really willing to listen and problem solve with his patients- not take over.

Dr. Simon is a very kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and professional Rheumatologist. He spends the time needed to evaluate and treat patients. His kindness and caring attitude is a very welcome trait in this rushed world we live in. Treating individuals with chronic pain and possible permanent disabilities takes a very special personal. I did find this with Dr. Simon (and his medical assistant, Tiffani). I would recommend him to anyone needing his expertise (in the Pierce County, WA area).

Dr Simon has helped me immensely. He is a concerned and knowledgeable physician and will be greatly missed!

Dr Simon came highly recommended by another Doctor that I trust. I was amazed at the time he took with us and the information that he provided. I left there feeling empowered and better educated about Sarcoidosis. He created an action plan for us and his staff were so prompt in getting our paperwork, prescriptions, and information to us! Thanks to him, I feel like we are on the road to recovery! Thanks Dr Simon! I would recommend him to ANYONE!!
