I had my first visit with Dr. Onan last week. His staff is very friendly as is the x-ray tech. I found Dr. Onan to be personable and he explained everything in detail. He did not rush through the appointment and he came up with a game plan for my back pain that I'm happy with. I definitely recommend him. Dr. Onan and his team are a well oiled machine! They all work great together to provide the best care. Dr. Onan has an exceptional bedside manner. He is very informative, gives all the facts, and answers all your questions. I chose him to do my back surgery. He came highly recommended and I saw why immediately. I felt very safe and comfortable in his capable hands. My husband also felt very comfortable with Dr. Onan. I'm a week out after surgery and my pre surgery pain is gone already. I'm very happy with my decision and with Dr. Onan's results. Elizabeth is wonderful also! She is is his APN and is a wealth of knowledge. They both work great together. I am very happy with and feel very confident in this practice! I would 100% recommend Dr. Onan and Elizabeth for any back surgery needs.

Finally a doctor that really seem to listen to me both him and his PA seemed not too rushed to listen to my condition. Also, finally somebody that looks at my records before I get there instead of asking me all the questions that my records have the answers to, I feel uplifted that maybe my condition can improve. My wife was suffering from continual and severe pain in her lower back. After doing our research we decided to make an appt. with Dr. Onan at Texas Ortho. He immediately impressed us with his knowledge and straightforward manner. X-rays and MRIs revealed that my wife had serious issues and needed both a spinal fusion (L4-L5) and a laminectomy. Dr. Onan performed the surgery and it went very well. My wife recovered in good fashion and best of all---the pain was gone! It has now been 2 years since the surgery and there has been no re-occurrence of the pain or other problems. We had our final check-up today with Dr. Onan (delayed due to the pandemic), and X-rays showed that the hardware is still well positioned and there has been good supporting bone growth around it.
