Dr. Orna N. Alpert, MD

Dr. Alpert treated my son for ADHD-she was a game changer. Took time to learn about his issues then successfully treated him. A boy who was struggling with mood disorders, poor academic performance & was simply lost… became a young man who with her care eventually pulled it together… found his passion- got on dean’s list and is now in a great place mentally and professionally secured internship position at great company pursuing engineering career…as a mom did all I could to help but doubt it would have been possible without Dr. Alpert help.

She’s not anymore. She saw my daughter a total of a few minutes day 2 of a hospital stay for a medical reason and recommended inpatient. 5 days later we are still in the hospital for medical reasons and again she says she wants her inpatient, without even talking to her. Now I know my daughter didn’t tell her she was thinking about hurting herself or someone else. We had to have then call multiple her times to be seen again. Then she brushed me off completely when she finally saw her (another 5 min.) Can’t stand her at all! We can’t wait to be away from the hospital she’s practicing at.

I could tell she wanted to spend more time with us, but her case load was just too high. If there were a greater number of staff to cover all of the children who needed her, she perhaps could have given us more of the help we needed.

Dr. Alpert is well versed in all subject-matter related to psychiatry and has always provided me with the best care possible. I would recommend her to anyone in need of a great doctor!

I was first patient ever, I am still seeing this doctor after she helped cure and fix me. She's an amazing doctor!
