Dr. Pamela Louise Leib, MD

Hands down best psych help i have ever received. I have seen many doctors and completed multiple programs over the years, and Dr. Leib helped me more than the rest combined. She is blunt and to the point. Not just gonna pump you full of pills and send you on your way. We had full, hour long therapy sessions at each appointment, where she listened to me and helped me through my problems. She worked with me to discover what medications worked best for me, and continued close monitoring until i adjusted to new meds. I would have continued treatment with her, but, unfortunately, she does not take my new insurance. If you want real, no-nonsense results, she is wonderful.

I never met a Dr. this bad she is rude and totally unprofessional. I would not even take my dog to her practice. I don't understand why nobody reported her yet ...unbelievable

Unprofessional. Crass. Rude. Abrupt. Appearance was sloppy at best. Rude to her receptionist. If you are feeling vulnerable for whatever reason, I would tell you to go somewhere else. You are reading this for a reason. She probably helped some but read ALL reviews you can find concerning her. Do your own research and make an educated decision. You have a choice. I didn’t realize I could’ve gone somewhere else.

This comment below is about my aunt bc she had an appt there today that was cancelled awhile ago. The office called me telling me how mad they and Luther ridge were and how they didn’t know her appt was cancelled. She was never seen once by Leib since moving into Luther ridge bc she didn’t even see her once when I had to admit her into senior behavioral unit so why would we go back? Her meds were adjusted by the hospital psych and I was told she was on medicine that a dementia patient should never be on!!! I am disgusted to learn she witnessed this behavior today!!! Please contact me!! I will be calling luther ridge tomorrow!

The receptionist (man) was very unprofessional. I drive people to appointments as my job. Long story short, the person I took did not have an appointment. The reception guy threw a fit. He was cursing and screaming at me. He threw the paperwork from the facility this person was coming from. And he refused to call the facility to let me know when to pick the patient up. He said I could "sit & wait" for all he cared. When getting back to work I had our Director call the office and the receptionist lied about the entire thing, and proceeded to say that I was never allowed back in the office again. That place is a joke.

Do not go to this person. She is a poor excuse for a doctor. She is very arrogant, judgmental and opinionated when she knows absolutely nothing about the patient. She looks down on u while u are telling her your problems. It looks like she is holding back a laugh. She shows zero empathy.

I have depression and my primary knows it, but wanted to get an opinion from a doctor in the mental health field before medicating me. P. Leib was HORRIBLE. I wasn't in there 5 minutes and she diagnosed me as bipolar and wrote a script for a phychatropic drug. She did not do an evaluation and interrupted me several times as I tried to explain how I was feeling. She was wrong from the start but I decided to give her a chance, she is the doctor, not me. I tried the medication, it was all wrong for me, it messed me up. I threw it away and never went back. I still suffer from depression, and ONLY depression. Otherwise I hold a job and raise a family, and am happily married. This lady should not be allowed to practice.

When I saw Dr. Leib I had been diagnosed bipolar for approximately 5 years. It's an accurate diagnosis, no doubt about it but sadly, I don't respond to most medications. I spent several years bouncing from one med to the next with little to no benefit and often horrible side effects. Despite that, I do try periodically to visit a doctor to check on any new therapies, medications, treatments, etc... as I understand and appreciate the benefit that medications that work can provide. So I tried Dr. Leib and was immediately put off. I took my wife with me to the visit as I've met more than a few psychiatrists who lack bedside manner and it can rattle me. When she came to the waiting room to take me in for my session, my wife got up to come with me. She looked at me, at my wife, back and me and said "I don't bite, she needs to wait out here." I explained it was for my comfort and that she had taken time from work to do this with me and still Dr. Leib rudely refused to allow my wife to come… with me. Okay, fine, the appointment was already made, we were already there, I went in for my appointment. Generally speaking, her evaluation wasn't unlike most other evaluations I've had with other mental health professionals, she was a little short, cut me off a few times but nothing too terrible. We talked about my lack of success with medications, she asked which I'd taken and I gave her the list, she agreed there really wasn't anything left I hadn't already tried but asked me about any other medications I was taking. Due to a back injury that caused some nerve damage, I take Neurotin daily. Her recommendation was to get my Family Doctor who writes this medication to write it for a dosage that well exceeded any recommended dosage for the drug because according to her claims that "may" help with Bipolar Type I. I explained that my symptoms were of Type II and that was how I was diagnosed. She insisted this was appropriate therapy if my Family Doctor could be convinced to write it. I asked if she would supply some sort of letter or note I could pass along since she was unwilling to write it, she said "No, it's up to your Family Doctor." this seemed more than a little fishy to me but I said I would do some research on my own and ask my Family Doctor's opinion since they would be writing the medication. That was the end of our session, she saw me out asking if I wanted to schedule another appointment, I told her I would call back to do so after I looked into her medication recommendation. She laughed and replied very condescendingly "Oh right, your research." walked me to the door, assured my wife in an equally condescending tone that she in fact didn't bite me, and we left. I never saw her again nor plan to. Any doctor who's capable of writing a prescription but insists on having another doctor do it is more than a little suspect in my book.

I refuse to associate a professional title, such as that of an M.D. with Pamela Leib. She is belligerent, condescending, and does not uphold medical ethical standards. Was she asleep when taking the Hippocratic Oath, or just willfully ignorant? Perhaps both?
