Dr. Pamela Brown Russell, MD

Pam Russell, MD, is an attending neonatologist at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and clinical assistant professor of Pediatrics at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. After receiving her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1981, she completed her residency in pediatrics and fellowship in neonatology at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She began her career as a community neonatologist in 1987 developing a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, PA and served as its medical director and director of Neonatal Follow-up. In 1997 she became medical director of the Intensive Care Nursery and Neonatal Services at The CHOP Satellite at Chester County Hospital in West Chester. Dr. Russell remains part of the neonatal faculty of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where she guest attends in their Intensive Care Nursery and participates in conferences. She cares for patients in the Intensive Care …Nursery at both sites. Dr. Russell's special interest is in the ethical considerations of intensive care medicine and she has lectured on this topic to residents, medical students, professional conferences and in the community.
