Dr. Patricia M Galanti, MD

I've been a patient of Dr. Galanti for 5 years. I like her, however, she sends me to LOTS of specialists. I wish that she would just send me to them BEFORE having to pay my co-payment to her. I don't like paying doctors just to tell me I need to see another doctor. I've learned to make my own appointments with specialists FIRST, then follow up with Dr. Galanti. She does have a LOT of vacations.

I agree she has a terrible bedside manner, no communication with her patients. She and her staff do not return calls or follow up on problems.

Wish I would have checked reviews for sure. A patient for l year to long. Very poor beside manner, staff will NOT return calls, wants you to correspond by email. What the ---- I am 65 I want a face to face conversation for my dollar. A nurse called me 1 month ago to say I needed eye exam and blood work done. They said they could schedule the appt. because were in partnership with gossip they made appt not me. I was charged full price because gossip is partner, but not in the insurance plan. They knew my plan Healthy Indiana Plan which is very limited coverage. Please do not trust her people they do not have the patient in mind. I found a new doctor. Please, please do not call her.

I also felt she was rude and didn't listen. I felt judged and am looking for a new doctor, i don't feel comfortable being honest with her. I actually felt bad for a couple of days after meeting with her, and that has never happened to me before.

I really wish I had seen the other patient reviews here regarding Dr. Galanti before scheduling my appointment. I completely agree with their comments. While the wait time in the waiting room was very minimal, the staff was a bit rude and not very helpful. Dr. Galanti was prompt and good at asking questions but she lacked any bedside manner. I also felt as though she didn't listen to what I was telling her, didn't really seem interested and I walked away from the appointment without any resolution to my problem. I will not be returning to her office in the future.

I have 2 different appointments that I would like to comment on. Dr. Galanti charges $40 to fill out an school athletic form. $10 is the norm for all other doctors. I had a problem with my foot that was not a normal sprain. I went to Dr. Galanti and she seemed to do a good job asking questions on how I hurt it. She then sent me to get an xray. She called me back that morning & told me everything was fine with my foot and to just wrap it up with an ace bandage. Well after a week of pain and not being able to walk I went to get a second opinion. I had a bone fracture in my foot not a hairline fracture a complete fracture. With 2 negative appointments with 2 different family memebers I have to say we will not be returning. The staff in the office were also on the rude side. Too many negatives. I did go back to give her a second chance. I will tell all my friends and family not to go to Dr. Patricia Galanti.

Though knowledgeable, doctor is condescending with poor bedside manner. Staff won't return calls, referrals are not followed through, can't get scheduled because doctor seems to be on vacation frequently. One time waited 40 minutes, was then told others were in front of me and it may be longer, but I was already signed in and sitting when those other patients came in. Not a good experience - I'm finding a new doctor.

I have appreciated Dr. Galanti, though I've only been a patient of hers for a year or two. She inspires confidence and seems to be a proactive, preventive physician. She is very cordial and takes times for questions.
