Dr. Patricia K Coyle, MD

Just moved to the area and getting new Dr.'s set up . Saw Dr. Coyle for treatment of MS . She was very thorough and kind . I will be very satisfied with her being my neurologist .I'm reading the negative reviews about her bedside manner which always makes we laugh. She was very pleasant with myself and trust me , with MS I've been to many Dr.'s , I rather have one that's very thorough and has a n excellent reputation than one who has offered me tea and crumpets . Dr. Coyle and the staff have an A+ rating from me

She is an excellent doctor. I credit her to my well being. I have been Dr. Coyle's patient for 21 years.

Dr. Coyle misdiagnosed me because she is following out-dated information about Lyme. As a result, my neurological Lyme disease was allowed to disseminate further and my condition deteriorated. I was bitten by a tick, treated with 2 weeks of Doxy (not enough) by another dr and then symptoms resurfaced including Neuro issues. Even though I had Lyme bands in my spinal fluid, it did not meet the CDC criteria, and she did not treat me for neurolyme. Months later, she said on a panel that if someone took Doxy right away after a tick bite, it would not show up on tests later on because the immune response was aborted. That is exactly what happened to me, and if she had listened she would have known I needed IV treatment right away. If I die or lose my marbles with an 11 year old son, it’s on your head, lady.

I have been seeing Dr. Coyle since Oct. 2008. Although I have may unpredictable complications due to my MS. Dr Coyle a pioneer in her field, along with Patricia Melville NP. They have taken the problems that arise and have rectified the issues and help me manged my deteriorating disease. They work hand in hand with other doctors to deal with complications that need to be treated. Psychiatry , urology, ophthalmology and many other specialist that MS has and will continue to deteriorate our bodies and minds. Excellency is such a small word in describing Dr. Coyle's world wide research, and her dedication, and her medical advancement since working with MS patients, I am defiantly grateful to be under her care.

Same experience. No bedside manner, constantly cut me off and didn’t listen. Goes by outdated IDSA Lyme guidelines. I Had some positive Lyme tests and all the symptoms. Dr. Coyle said it couldn’t be an active infection anymore since I’ve been sick for 10 yrs, and all my 20+ symptoms incl bone pain, joint swelling and static vision were Fibromyalgia! Told me I need to recondition the muscles after I repeatedly told her I could not physically exercise and many days I had trouble walking. After a negative spinal tap that made me go to the ER the following day bc I got so sick, she had her intern call and she said they couldn’t help me and and I should find a Fibromyalgia center. Its horrible that these doctors deny you proper Lyme treatment and let you get worse and worse. Definitely one of the most ignorant doctors I’ve ever seen.

If you are going to her for Lyme or some mystery illness with marked neurological involvement, that has plagued you for a long time and has left you debilitated and non-functioning, then keep it moving and find yourself a competent Lyme specialist (NOT an infectious disease specialist). That is the only way you are going to get the proper diagnosis, the proper long-term treatment and the answers you have been searching for. Any doctor who follows the fugazy CDC protocol for diagnosing and treating Lyme Disease is not going to be able to help you, and you will just stay sick. Also, ticks transmit multiple deadly infectious diseases - not just Lyme. It is also possible to acquire Lyme and related diseases from other vectors, as well as through a blood transfusion, sexual intercourse, and in utero.

Dr Coyle would be an excellent research Doctor. She is technically knowledgeable. But her personnel interactions leave something to be desired. She does not explain technical topics well, she focuses on what she observes and not so much as to what the patient says. This has been based on several years under her care. I finally decided to move on.

Saw Dr. Coyle for Lyme. If you have been diagnosed and first round of antibiotics failed, I would recommend her as she is very knowledgeable and aggressive. However, if you are a chronic case and don't have a clear diagnosis (EM or current blood work), then I don't think she is the right type of doctor for you.

Very knowledgeable and skilled. Not a people person. It is difficult to get an exchange, normally questions are answered in one shot and we move on to the next part of the exam. Takes weeks to get return phone calls for non-urgent questions despite several follow up requests (Dr Coyle travels a lot).

Dr. Coyle although brief finally gave me the answers i have been searching for. I had been researching doctors to go see and since Dr.Coyle was so highly recommended I knew she was the one although she does have a wait list for appointments, she is true to her skills and testing and I'm finally feeling better so thank you Dr. Coyle!!!!
