Dr Nicolato was truly a blessing! She repaired an Aortic aneurysm also replacing the valve saving our loved one’s life! She is extremely knowledgeable, caring, patient and likable ?? She followed up with us like no Doctor/Surgeon we have ever seen before! You can tell that she truly cares about her patients well-being! We could not have asked for a better surgeon!

Dr. Nicolato is an outstanding surgeon. She explained the situation, provided timely follow-ups and was very caring. She was very confident in her approach and assured on what to do and I like that. My daughter is doing awesome post operation. Thank you for everything!

Dr. Nicolato is a Rock star! My daughter had a serious bacterial infection only a month ago to the day and Dr. Nicolato took excellent care of her. She repaired and replaced two heart valves. She updated us on all the details prior to the surgery. She had a nurse to call with updates during the operation and she even sent me a photo from her personal phone number, showing what the vegetation on the valve looked like prior to its removal. Even though, VCU Health had a strict "NO" visitation policy because of Covid-19, I was granted permission to spend the night prior to surgery with the urging of Dr. Nicolato. Syd's health is still being carefully monitored by the doctor even though we live almost two hours away. Sydney is feeling great with the help of the Good Doctor.

Dr. Nicolato is very quick to follow-up on phone calls and is polite. She has always rendered excellent care to me when it has been necessary for me to see her. There is no better thoracic surgeon out there.

This doctor seems to have to much uncontrollable bleeding with her heart patients.
