Dr. Patrick Collalto, MD

A friend recommended I see Dr. Collalto for a very painful sciatica condition. Upon reading the mostly negative reviews I was inches close to canceling my visit but trying to get a faster appointment elsewhere was not possible. I expected the worst and was totally surprised that all the negatives were unfounded.From start to finish my experience was extremely positive (check-in, wait time as well as doctor consultation and treatment with scheduled follow-up). I found Dr. Collalto easy to talk to and willing to spend as much time as needed for my visit. Follow-up is scheduled with no apprehension about returning.

I read the reviews after making my appointment and considered canceling. So glad I didn’t. I found the office staff kind and helpful. Dr. Collaltro listened to what I said. He gave a clear concise assessment of his findings based on examination and X-ray results. He set out alternative treatment plans and discussed the pros and cons of each. I feel very confident.

Saw Dr Collalto in Dec 2018. I had had extreme pain behind my left knee for about 6 weeks. He saw me & pushed & pulled it around & said it's probably a miniscus tear. Bear in mind I am an overweight female who should exercise but does not, so I am not an athletic person jumping around, I also had not had any direct injury to the area, I just woke up with the pain & told him that. He ordered an MRI. Next week, day of MRI I woke up & pain was completely gone! But did MRI anyway. 3 days later saw Collalto again. He reviewed MRI & said it was completely normal. I said the pain had gone away & he said "well Merry Christmas" and went to go out the door. I had to stop him to ask what it was that could have caused such pain, then stopped suddenly. His response was he didn't know, but just be happy it had stopped!!!! A week later & the pain came back again, of course. Same extreme pain in same exact place. I went to Princeton Orthopaedic Associates instead & what a difference,… they were amazing. Dr Killian looked at the MRI that Collalto had and showed me where there was a large Bakers Cyst. Totally obvious, even to me, who has had no medical training!! How could he miss that?!! Because he is an idiot, has no time & does not care about the patient. Why he is still in practice there I do not know. Do NOT see him, got to Princeton instead, believe me!

To say this Dr. is horrible doesn't even fully describe the level of unprofessionalism that is rampant in that office given that his staff also feels that they too have license to be rude to you because the Doctor himself is not only curt, arrogant and obnoxious but never puts his staff in check for being nasty as well. Its bad enough I was in horrible pain due to both hips but emotionally it took months for me to finally swallow my pride and go to a doctor to access methods on how to successfully correct the problem. Oh and by the way, it turns out that later after talking about our experience with this doctor to our neighbor she tells us that she used this guy for her surgery but that he in fact measured her leg wrong to which now left leg is a half inch shorter than her right to which she must wear shoes that have a rubber lift on the sole for the rest of her life. Just disgusting!! Though you would think to stop receiving negative reviews like this one even the worst… doctor would try to at the very least to 'feign' being nice his patients in order to keep the money rolling in but not Dr. Collato! ...no, he would rather make it painfully obvious to everyone who enters his office doors that you are merely a pay check to him. ....SO PLEASE EITHER WAIT TIL HE BOTCHES YOUR SURGERY AND SUE OR USE YOUR ONE GOOD HIP AND RUN!!!!

If you like long waiting times in the waiting room. Feel creeped out and uncomfortable while Dr. Collato is talking to you. Short smart arrogant answers. Then this is the doctor for you.

I have knee injury and was assigned Dr. Patrick M. Collalto. He is very quick to get you in and out on yours visits. Never introduced himself on my first visit and, well rude. He ordered an MRI. On my next visit I was told to bring my results back. During this appointment he never looked at the MRI pictures or pointed my injury's out on the MRI. He just read the results to me and told me he, "doesn't buy" my injury's on the review. I had questions unanswered. He spent less then 10 minutes with me and left to go get the nurse to get a brace and never came back. No solutions or advice for me on recovery. I asked for a doctor's note for work and it was like pulling teeth. Best advice I got, "well if it still hurts in a few weeks come back". For what??? I will be seeing another doctor in a different location that cares about what they do. I highly recommend not seeing this doctor unless you have too.

Dr. Collalto has been a completely dedicated surgeon who diagnosed my illness and performed surgery on my lumbar region Spinal Stenosis. He was confidant and comitted to me as his patient. I am 100% satisfied with Dr. Collalto and his surgical staff. He did a phenomenal job and I am very thankful he was my surgeon.

Unprofessional, very uncaring..Not empathy for pain. Cut me off while explaining my symptoms and extreme pain plus he made me like an addicted drug patient when I asked him for pain medicine which I really needed it due to my back and neck pain.

Dr Collalto is a very caring guy , he helped me with my extreme knee pain and made sure I had exrays done to find out my problem . He’s very good . He is offering a new procedure for my knees and I think I may try it!

My experience with Dr Collalto was extremely bad. He kept me waiting an hour and said nothing about it when he arrived. He was abrupt, arrogant, belittling and uncaring. Avoid him at all costs!
