Dr. Patrick James Edwards, MD

I’ve been with several doctors in the area over the last several years and Dr. Edwards is by far the best. He really listens to you, doesn’t just stare at a screen, and he is willing to try new things. He is also great with kids, my son loves him and always does great at appointments. I feel lucky to have gotten assigned to Dr. Edwards, he is wonderful.

Finding a doctor that actually listens and believes their patients is depressingly difficult and has been a struggle for me my whole adult life. After years of bouncing around from doctor to doctor who either refused to help me or had no idea what to do, I finally found the best doctor I've ever had the pleasure to see. Not only did he listen and believe me, but he ordered up an MRI which resulted in FINALLY having a diagnosis, which is MS. I had been suffering for 20 years while doctor after doctor accused me of making things up or trying to get opiates, and after two appointments with Dr Edwards, I finally have the diagnosis and the comfort of knowing I wasn't wrong. There is a bit of a struggle to get ahold of him, but it is entirely the complicated front desk that oversees several different clinics all at once and not Dr Edwards himself. So you might have to go in to the office physically if your phone calls aren't getting to him, but he is so very much worth it.

Happy to get a new primary care Dr. Have been trying to get a referral for 2 years tof a hepatologist without any luck. Explained the recent loss of Dr's in our area and he assured me he would be right on top of it. Well 3 months later, not so much as a phone call. Tired of wasting time with Drs. Furthermore my wife went in swollen like a water balloon and couldn't get a call back after missing several days of work. Better off in India.

Dr. Edwards was my mother's doctor for many years. I was impressed with the attention he paid her...never made her feel hurried, he explained every illness or symptom thoroughly, he listened to whatever she felt the need to discuss with him. My husband and I were satisfied patients of his for over 20 years and looked forward to seeing him as we felt a closer connection than just doctor/patient. The five star rating is entirely too low....we would give him a 10 star rating easily (or more). We feel he gave us the best health care we could get anywhere. Between my husband and me, we presented some unusual health issues (we are in our late 70s), but he knew about each symptom and when our illnesses needed special knowledge, he always made sure we saw the correct specialist. We feel we lost the very best doctor as well as a friend. We miss him terribly but we feel traveling to Oregon is a little too far to remain his patients! Dr. Edwards is new to our area and a great asset. I have had some issues for a handful of years that where never truly addressed. Dr. Edwards jumped right in and got me figured out from the first appt. Talking to him is like talking to an awesome neighbor or friend. He is very personable and knowledgeable.
