Knowledgeable but not the best listener! Knows his stuff, likes to refer for further testing (at his own lab...) and always has one eye on the clock. Can come across as a bit arrogant, but that might be necessary when trying to get through 60 patents a day. I advise that you use your 'golden minute' wisely (when he first steps through the door)--summarizing your concerns succinctly, before his mind is on the next patient.

Dr. Scarpitti has been my father's physician for over 20 years-his care has been diligient, cutting edge, efficient and most of all- compassionate, always considering my father as a person first, a human being with feelings and emotional needs. I appreciate his kindly care even more as my father grows older: I know he will be treated with dignity and respect, until the end, by Dr. Scarpitti.
