I have a long history with Dr. Fredrickson's office. My physical appointments you could imagine that he was thinking about his golf swing as you were talking. He barely paid attention. If you have to have sleeping medication, God help you trying to get refills every month.. The pharmacy calls his office, no response,, a few days later you call the pharmacy, no action, You call Fredricksons office, talk to Debbie, 'she will let him know you are out of medication' a few days go by, another call to the pharmacy, another call to Debbie, a call to your insurance company who has now declined your prescription because you had re-submitted your prescription request, and on and on it goes, Month after Month the same thing. You, the patient, go 4, 5, 12, days without your necessary prescription, and eventually you look like you're addicted to the drug because the system is so screwed up due to the pill-mill epidemic and you have to make endless calls and spend hours and hours trying to navigate automated systems. By the time you get to someone you're so frustrated and frazzled you probably appear manic. . It's absolutely disgraceful and the same thing happened for several years. This whole problem became exacerbated when my wife and I moved about 5 hrs away. I can't even tell you how many hours I have wasted on the phone with , mostly his office, but walgreens and insurance companies too. It's true that we moved, but these problems happened Month after Month after Month and I went sleepless for days and days because of the flaws in the system. Dr. Fredrickson's disinterested, aloof, 'bedside' manner just topped everything off. I know he has impressive accolades and from an academic vantage point, sure he may have some credentials, but from a patient vantage point..... Well I guess Caveat Emptor would be an appropriate response.
