Dr. Paul J Erickson, MD

Dr. Erickson has been my doctor for some time now and has always been extremely caring, professional and honest with me even when I didn’t want to hear it. He has seen me through many a crisis and has made it possible for me to continue my career which is quite demanding and challenging. I’m so incredibly appreciative for all of the help and support I have received. It feel very fortunate that I found to a doctor that really cares about making my life better. He is a rarity indeed.

On the day that I was admitted, I told Erickson that I had a psychiatrist's appointment THAT DAY that he kept me from. I was looking after my mental health. I told Erickson EVERY DAY for 7 days that being hospitalized was harming, not helping, my mental health. That I WAS interested in getting treatment for my depression, BUT that I would do so as an out-patient. Why would I beg Erickson - beg - him to "let me go" every day for 7 days IF I thought I was really there 'voluntarily'? Whey did HE think I was asking HIM to "release me" IF HE thought that I thought that I was there voluntarily. He doesn't listen to his patients. He doesn't believe his patients. He knows better than you! He is, and I want to choose my words carefully here, a monster.

Dr. Erickson is a breath of fresh air in the world of doctors that are always so rushed. He did a thorough evaluation and spent time filling the patient and his family in on the evaluation. He also helped in looking for continued help outside of his hospital setting. He is a very caring and professional man. We are ever so grateful!

An overall amazing clinician who has helped me so much!

Dr. Erickson came to our rescue when he responed to a consult. He is a stellar model for all psychiatrists. He has developed a holistic approach in all areas of need. He is compassionate, wise, a good listner. One would think he has nothing else on his mind when he is addressing his patient. That is a gift, of which he has many!!! Thank God for physicians like Dr. Erickson.
