Dr. Paul Joseph Laprad, MD

Dr. Laprad had blood work done on me to check my igE levels whilst I had been on Xolair for a few years. The results showed higher levels so he increased my dosage 2 1/2 times than the original. Long story short I missed 13 months of work was in very very bad condition due to him overdosing me, and I had to cash out my 401K to pay my bills. I still suffer bad short term memory problems as well as high pitched buzzing in my head. Not as bad as when I was still on it but definitely not good either. He did nothing to help. After I took myself off a the overdosing Zolair. I went to Mass General. My doctor there called him and told him what we put together as a plan. When I next saw Laprad he immediately said, in a bad tone, "How about them fancy doctors, in their fancy hospitals, telling me what to do!" Keep in mind he was doing absolutely nothing to help me, just making more appointments to get more money. Yes, those were his exact words and I will never forget them. I tried my best to… keep this short so you are not seeing all the bad stuff.

Dr. LaPrad listened carefully to all my history and looked over all my tests. His only comment on 4 MONTHS of inability to breathe and function was, "Your test results do not reflect the severity of your symptoms." He did not suggest any further testing. Also, when I called the office to explain my oxygen levels are running between 87 and 91 %, she chuckled. She called back to say Dr. LaPrad was not concerned. There is a distinct lack of care and concern in this office!

He is without doubt a very special Dr. He has helped me with my breathing beyond belief
