Dr. Paul Raymond Mercer, MD

Horrible Doctor.

Dr. Mercer has been my PCP since I was 16 or 17. I am 35 now! He's taken care of my grandmother, mother, father, uncle, and a few in-laws on my uncle's side. He is my favorite doctor. He was able to diagnose my odd fatigue at 22 years old with hypothyroidism. He's never condiscending like a lot of doctors I've met with over the past few years for other issues. He likes that I'm a participant in my health. I know I can go to him with things I've researched online, etc., and he will listen and either agree or point out where my research is flawed and why. His bedside manner is great! Because he considers me "young" he has the ability to talk to me like a peer rather than a stuffy, overly-professional, cold doctor. He's been wonderful to visit. Gladly I rarely see him anymore because I'm rarely sick but when I am I'm happy to know that he is my doctor. He's hilarious, too! Only downside; over the years his staff has come up short of my expectations. Missed… messagings getting to the doctor, promised call backs to schedule an appointment or to speak to the nurse that never happened, etc. If it wasn't for Dr. Mercer I may have switched PCP but lately they've improved.

Not very professional and does not care at all.

Been going to Dr Mercer since I was 16. I'm 34 now. He's the best gp and reassure I listens to me. He lets me help figure out treatments, tests, etc. He's great!
