Dr. Pedro Del Nido is one in a million. He is kind, caring, supportive, patient, diligent, honest, and wonderful. My son went in for open heart surgery at 22 months old for double outlet right atrium, cleft mitral valve, narrow aortic valve, large atrial septic defect, and a small left side of his heart. Dr. Del Nido was my sons angel! As well as our family's angel. DORA is extremely rare, and he assured us the surgery would be a success, which it was! I recommend him to anyone who has a child in need of heart surgery! He's amazing

Dr DelNido repaired our twelve year old sons anomalous right coronary artery this past July, a rare defect often discovered on autopsy. He was kind, thorough and professional. We researched and interviewed many cardiac surgeons before making the best decision for us all. Dr DelNido gave our son his life back, we will be forever grateful!

My title of this comment "Amazing" says it all! He is truly the most knowledgeable pediatric cardiovascular surgeon I have met. My daughter has a very complicated heart. After going through 3 OHS, we found Dr. del Nido and contacted him to see if he would take her case. He agreed and did an amazing job. He is extremely thorough, explains things in laymen's terms and only had my two year old on bypass for two hours and reconstructed her heart. I can't say enough about this man. We pray for him everyday!

I am a physician who was operated on by Dr. Denton Cooley at the age of 3 for a congenital heart defect. At that time my physician parents sought "the best surgeon in the world" for that particular problem. 30 years later, when my initial repair finally needed to be revised we went to Dr. Del Nido on recommendation of my cardiologist. (We could have had this done at the school we all trained at but we wanted the BEST!) Now five years later I am a different person. Healed, and in great shape. When doctors review my echo they think that the names have been mixed up. They cannot believe that I had the lesion that I had. Dr. Del Nido did a great job and my husband remembers encountering him at the hospital exit at 0200--8 hours after my surgery was completed. He stayed that long. I hope I do not have to have another revision, but if so I will absolutely go back to CHB to Dr. Del Nido.
