I was diagnosed as having a "heart flutter" and with a resting heart rate of 130, I could feel internal pressure that's hard to put into words, but it affected my balance, my vision, and my overall wellbeing. Dr. Caulkins of the Manchester VA looked at me, did an ekg, and diagnosed my heart condition and sent down to the Boston VA stat. Dr. Hoffmeister took over from there and with the aid of that wonderful "dream team" in the cath lab which I nicknamed the "miracle in my heart" (thank you moody blues) performed an ablation-2 hours later I was a changed man and forever grateful for getting me back on the right track, now my resting heart rate is 72 & I feel wonderful, thanks to the "dream team" and Dr. Hoffmeister. By the way, I'm 102 days out of open heart surgery-done at the W.Roxbury VA. 4 Star rating to all involved with that operation as well. I needed a miracle in my heart and I got it, thanks to the VA.
