I would not recommend Dr Essay. I have neuropathy in my feet and it is very painful. dr Essay wouldn't listen and it felt like he thought I was making it up. It was a complete waste of time and money.

I cannot attest to Dr. Essay's knowledge, as I am sure he is plenty skilled as a pain management doctor. However his condescending attitude, accusations of making stuff up and showing no signs of empathy was a huge let down. Perhaps he is over worked or perhaps he has the typical 'Doctor' attitude, either way he was unprofessional and I would suggest finding someone else.

WHEN I FIRST VISITED DR ESSAY MY PAIN WAS SO TERRIBLE I COULD HARDLY FUNCTION. THE MINUTE HE SAT ACROSS FROM ME, AND LISTENED TO MY STORY I KNEW HE UNDERSTOOD. NOW AFTER BEING UNDER HIS CARE, I CAN CARE FOR MYSELF, MY HOME,AND MY HUSBAND. I AM NOT COMPLETELY WITHOUT PAIN, BUT WHAT PAIN I HAVE IS MANAGEABLE. I THANK GOD EVERY DAY FOR DR ESSAY. IF YOU NEVER SUFFERED FROM CRONIC PAIN, YOU WOULD NOT UNDERSTAND HOW IT TAKES OVER YOUR LIFE.

I am a current patient of Dr. Essay and have been for several years. I have never had any difficulty with him. I find that he is a very caring physician that seems to try his best to come up with a solution for my chronic pain. I woul (and have) recomend him to others with severe pain problems. He is not just a pill pusher like so many so called pain doctors but really cares.
