Dr Jari treated me for a very painful herniated disk in my neck. Thanks to him I was able to avoid surgery and and am now pain free.
Dr. Rajesh Jari is a rare kind of Doctor, whom might I say is very serious about giving the patient an outstanding professional experience, as to discussing with the patient their needs and then making sure all of the options are explained to achieve the ultimate medical result.
I went to see Dr. Jari after 5 years of dealing with psoriatic arthritis in my back with no resolution to my pain. I have SEVERE lower back pain that allows me about 5 minutes of physical exertion before I feel like I'm about to pass out from the pain. Dr. Jari saw me and without ANY x-ray or MRI findings scheduled me for 6 shots L-3 through L-5. I had to stop him to let him know I had psoriatic arthritis because he was already writing his diagnosis and treatment plan. He did order an MRI, but when I asked him about the findings, he couldn't remember what they were. Is there a possibility that there are other problems (like sciatica?). Needless to say, I did get 5 minutes of his time and the pain is about 30% better since the injections, however, I'll NEVER go to him again. I'm 54 years old and served 20 years in the military and have NEVER met a doctor who had less concern about evaluating everything than this doctor. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. That is unless you go to a car mechanic because your car isn't running right and you're okay with them replacing the fuel injectors after you tell them that...with no other testing. Really? He's lucky I don't sue him.
Excellent exceptional doctor who cares and listens
DR JARI WAS WONDERFUL!
So far even after the 1st visit, I'm very grateful that Dr Jari has realized how complicated I'am. Even making sure I had the best backbrace (never had any other Dr do this!) he has available and a medical tech instucted me on how to get the max support. Just had my 2nd visit today and now know this Dr will help me for a very long time.
Dr Jari was fantastic.. So down to earth , explained Everything very simply.. He then injected my back And i feel much better..
Dr. Jari, IS THE BEST in his field. He goes out of his way to help you and HE DOES LISTEN. He is caring, compassionate he truly cares and helps ease the pain you are in. If I could give him 10 stars I would. My family and I are so VERY grateful to him and for him. He follows up with you, he returns phone calls when you call him, So if YOU are someone you know needs a Dr. PLEASE CALL DR. JARI at Smart Pain Management, you will NOT regret it :)
I am very pleased with Dr. Jari and the progress he has made in dealing with my pain. I give him the highest marks for his abilities. It took a couple of sessions, but he has made a great effort in working on pinpointing the area to be dealt with and now I have longer and longer periods without the particular pain. I only gave 2 stars on "ease of appointment" due to problems that occurred with follow-up appointments. I was under the impression, as were some of the staff, that I was in for a treatment. I would be seen by another doctor to see how I was doing and then they would tell me they couldn't do the particular nerve block that Dr. Jari did. They would leave and I was expecting then for Dr. Jari to come in(one doctor even asked if he could observe what Dr. Jari was going to do which I had no problem with), but instead of Dr. Jari a support person would come in with papers and would tell me that I would have to schedule with Dr. Jari the following week. I had almost started disrobing before that person came in in preparation for the treatment. This happened a couple of times and I became very irate over this and talked with the office manager about the confusion and disappointment because I was in pain. That communication problem appears to have cleared up now and they make it clear what the appointment will be for each time: treatment or follow-up.
Im not even sure how to start. I've been going to pain management for 3 and a half years now. The first dr. I had would give me new meds to try which we all know who have pain it takes time to work. We went on trying this that and so forth.he would give me injections in my hip no help. Finally after about a year or more he sent me to another dr that does injections,I received two from this dr no change. His bedside manner was terrible, when getting injections you want to feel comfortable and relaxed, because they are some what painful. I would try and joke around with the nurses and dr. He would not even know you were there I got nothing. So as time went on it took a while to get an appointment with this dr. I told my pain management dr what happened, he sends me to someone else. The next dr. Was about 45 min away, after having a car accident I was very afraid to drive that far and being a passenger was worse. I hung on thinking this dr really knows what he 's doing,I received 3 injections from him still having severe pain in my back. The next visit I told him it still hurt, and I'm having pain in the same area and now a different area also. He said sometimes when you fix one pain the other pain would that you have would be more noticeable, I said the spot that was hurting is still hurting plus another area. Needless to say after about 10 visits to him I quit going, driving that far I was to afraid. The office of my pain management dr.was getting out of hand,he had moved to another location which was an old house there was no privacy you had to give all your information to receptionist right in the wait room with all the patients listening. They wouldn't put paper towels in the bathroom in fear of patients flushing them no hand dryer was not clean, and always had to ask for toilet paper. To me it was not professional at all they kind of treated you like you were a drug addict. So after 2 and a half years, I got my own back dr, he did some surgery on me which didn't work but, I had to take my chances . I had to quit my job because while getting treated for my neck from 2surgerys that started acting up then my back then my knees then my hands. I asked my back dr if he could refer me to another pain management dr. That is where I found the amazing dr. Raj jari md.!! Dr. Jari did 2 injections which did not work but, I knew he would find something that would. I was starting to get very depressed because I wanted this pain to be gone. My husband has been working 7 days a week just to make ends meet it was starting to get to him I felt so bad not being able to go to work because of the pain. After developing other symptoms and going to a lot of different drs trying new meds , tests MRI ct scans 5 surgerys in a year money was very tight.so on feb 13th he did another injection, I have been pain free in my back for the first time in 6 years!!!! Not only did he fix the pain, he really made me feel so comfortable laughing , joking , and serious when needed to be. I would reccomend him to anyone . He is the type of dr, we the patieant need when we're at wits end from being in pain all the time. He may or may not be able to fix everything but, he will do his best to try and put a smile on your face at the same time!! Thankyou so much for reading this article and remember dr. Jari is there for you and he cares!!!!
Dr. Jari is one of the first physicians to actually listen to what my problem was and address it and treat me accordingly. What a wonderful bedside manner and after my treatment for Migraine Headaches I have been 0 pain free! If someone is looking for a great Pain Management physician, look no further than Smart Pain Management and Dr. Jari.
Dr. Jari performed many types of injection procedures on my lower back in order to correct the problem non-surgically. Ultimately, I had to have surgery in the L5-S1 area of my back. His recommendation of several "Top of the line" back surgeons in the area helped make my decision easier. Also, all the past attempts to repair my back non-surgically by Dr. Jari helped the back surgeon make his decision to operate a lot easier since he based his decision not solely on an MRI.Finally, Dr. Jari kept my pain in check, very methodically, without turning me into a "prescription junky".I think very highly of his character and his professionalism during a difficult time in my life.
I've been suffering with back pain since the "Snowpocalypse" of 2010 and have been through three other doctors, two rounds of PT, a chiropractor and a massage therapist with little relief. I scheduled with Dr. Jari's practice and originally thought I was going to see Dr. Ira Kornbluth, whom I found listed as one of "America's Top Doctors." Through a scheduling mix-up, I was booked with Dr. Jari, which turned out to be a happy mistake. My visit started out a little rough--being a pain medicine practice, I guess they have trouble with people shopping for opioid drugs. The first thing Dr. Jari asked me was what I was taking for pain (Flexeril and Vimovo). He asked if I was taking opioids and when I said no, he said he needed a urine test. I was a little taken aback, but said okay and followed the nurse's instructions. After a couple minutes, he came back in and was much nicer, as I'd obviously tested clean. We discussed my history and he examined my back, commenting on how thick and hard one side of my back had become. He recommended lidocaine injections into the muscle and another round of PT. When that didn't seem to help--and where other doctors had pretty much thrown up their hands and said there was nothing more they could do--he commented, "You know, your MRI of your lumbar spine is normal for someone of your age, but you're still having pain. It's very unusual, but you might have something going on in your thoracic spine that is causing all this pain. Let's get an MRI of the thoracic area." Bingo! The MRI showed a bulge at T 1-2 and bad arthritic changes from T 1-4.Armed with this information, he proposed that we do a steroid/lidocaine injection of the vertebral facet where the nerve came out and ran down (and he was careful to note that they never got their steroid injections from the NECC compounding pharmacy responsible for all the menengitis cases!). A day after the injection, I felt better than I had in three years! That injection was just temporary to see if it would work, and he went back and did a radio frequency nerve ablation of the problem nerve. I'm now about 8 weeks out and my pain is diminished by about 70 percent. I can wean my Flexeril and Vimovo, and feel great as long as I do my stretches daily and don't do anything stupid, like lifting heavy objects. Dr. Jari said he might have to go back and repeat the ablation, which isn't much fun, but I'll happily do it to relieve the rest of the pain.I'm very thankful that Dr. Jari was aggressive and innovative enough to look beyond the common causes for my pain and to track down the real root of it. I now have an accurate diagnosis and he was able to mitigate most of the pain I have. If you are looking for a doctor to just write scripts for narcotics, he's not the guy. But if you have a back pain problem that no one else can seem to solve, I highly recommend him.
DR. JARI IS A WONDERFUL DOCTOR, I HAVE RECOMMENDED HIM TO MANY PEOPLE, HIS BED SIDE MANNER IS WONDERFUL, HE TAKES TIME AND SHOWS MUCH COMPASSION TO HIS PATIENTS.
I had the worst rib pain After a door fell on my chest .. I was so ill for many months and I saw so many specialists finally my doctor referred me to Dr. Jari.. He was so honest with me and upfront with me- I could not tolerate any opioids-He told me some nerve blocks in my ribs may help- and explained them to me more than three times before I accepted... He was so patient...He was amazing... I feel after my injections i have no pain I'm able to dance ...and do so many things that I never ever dreamed of doing
My experience with Dr. Jari has been nothing but excellent. I was able to get an appt with Smart pain management within 3 days after my original call. (Unheard of around here!) I was lucky enough to get Dr. Jari for the procedure of steroid injections in my lumbar spine. The appointments were set up in a quick and logical framework and more importantly, Dr. Jari spent enough time with me to explain to me the exact procedure, how to care for recovery and perform the procedure in an exemplary manner. At every step of the way he communicated to me, and his staff, exactly what he was doing and what he expected the outcome to be. Mine is a very difficult case of pain in the lumbar spine and down my leg. Dr. Jari made the leg pain cease after the first set of injections and having just finished the third, I feel better than I have in MONTHS.Dr. Jari has shown me nothing but professionalism, an exceedingly thorough knowledge of his speciality, and an honestly caring bedside manner.
Dr Jari is very pleasant and professional. I never gave much thought to pain management but wish I had done so earlier. He takes the time and explains what is causing my problems and the recommended care that I will need. I am quite impressed and highly recommend him.
MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH DR JARI WAS GREAT.I WAS AFRAID WHEN I FIRST WENT FOR PAIN MANANGEMENT AND DIDN'T BELIEVE ANYONE COULD HELP ME-DR.JARI PUT ME AT EASE RIGHT AWAY.DIANOGOSED MY PROBLEM AND PROMPTLY TREATED ME, FOLLOWERED UP WITH PHONE CALLS TO CHECK HOW I WAS.DR. JARI DID NOT OVER MEDICATE ME,WHICH I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT.I ALREADY RECOMMAND DR. JARI TO ALL MY FRIEND AND FAMILY AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO.I HIGHLY RECOMMAND DR. JARI AND SMART PAIN MANAGEMENT.
I find Dr. Jari professional, affable, courteous, and always available. The staff is professional and courteous. There is never a problem accommodating my personal schedule, or when an immediate visit is required. When visiting the office I find Dr. Jari, the Physicians Assistants, and myself form a team. Everyone contributes to my wellness and pays attention to my needs, suggestions, and requirements.I recently visited another pain practice where my observations and requests were frequently dismissed with little value placed on my input. I left the physician and joined the SMART team resulting in better pain management through the use of conventional and alternate methods of treatment.Dr. Jari and SMART never discount my opinions and observations. I owe a debt of gratitude to Dr. Jari and SMART for drastically improving my quality of life through the use of skilled procedures and pain management. I would gladly recommend Dr. Jari to my family and friends when seeking professional pain management.
very upfront with me about my pain, offered me injections and Medicines and sent me for PT. Explained my MRI to me and my back pain is so much better after a month of treatments.
on my first visit i waited 2 hours to be seen and when he did see me he was reading messages on his cell phone the whole time. Now whenever I go I see P.A.s and they arent much help. I have been suffering for years with dibiltating migraines and he gave me a nerve block that sent me to the E.R. and 8 days later I am still very sore. They questioned me about pain meds like i am a junky. Ive never even taken pain meds until he prescribed them to me i have always taken triptan for my pain. I will be speaking with my neurologist and getting a referal to another pain specialist.
I don't Know How to Just comment on this Doctor, Except to Say that He is a REAL DOCTOR, and there is not enough stars to show How Good a Doctor that I think he is, and The Entire Staff, or people that work where I go are all Great. They know the answers to your questions, before you even know the Question. I go to the whitemarsh, SMART PAIN MANAGEMENT Office. One more thing,If you are Nervous about Going to this office, Try not to be, You will see why I say this, After you go, At Least I Did, It is a Very Profesional, but Still A Nice Place. Thats about All, see yeah.
Was very helpful in helping my pain. Listened to me and told me what he could and what could not be done for me. I appreciate the honesty especially since I gone around in circles . I feel he has gone out of his way to help me.
A most arrogant and abusive personality. does not listen but dictates to patient(s) overall a real jerk! Wouldn't take my dead iguana to him for treatment. What ever happened to do no harm? or do they not teach that in the Mamba Village in Nairiobi? * I am honestly considering contacting the board and have him answer up for his most unprofessional behavior...
excellent doctor.listens and is empathetic.
I went to Dr. Jari's Office about 3 times for massive pain threw the "Right" and "Left" Lower side of my body.. I was trying to tell him why i was hurting so bad and why i could not sleep at night from pain an where it hurts all day and night.. only thing he said was " Yes your legs and mid spine is very tight" an could cause some pain.. but not much.. BUT.... What he didnt understand was he isnt me and dont feel the pain i do all day and night.. instead he treated me like i was a "NoBody" and also like " I was lying" about my pain.. well for someone to Fall over 25 feet landing on their head and neck and shoulder and lower back hitting a big rock.. He acted like i wasnt allowed to hurt or must be lying about my real pain.. well it was 4 years later after falling when i seen him.. I was in the Hospitals I.C.U for about 4-5 weeks with full a few major Organ failures.. some cracks in my bones from mid body to face and massive nerve damage from the fall and impact of falling so high up and going to a dead stop when hitting the ground.. also having a Nerve twitch in my neck and shoulder from the fall.. and when getting up in the Morning my hands and arms and wrists and neck and fingers swell to 2-3 times it's normal size and not being able to bend them until a few hours after waking up an forcing my self to stretch and move around to try an make the swelling go down.. I have a Very Very Very High Tolerance to pain.. and Never ever been addicted to drugs of any kind.. and Informed him That the 800mg I.P and other over the counter medication dont help at all Not even a Tad... And he said i will give you 800mg I.P and some anti-inflammatory medication's.. and I had already Informed him 6-10 times that i have that already and it isnt putting a dent in my pain.. And instead of understanding me and my pain levels and serious health problems he charged my Insurance for seeing him for some Medications I already have for One.. and for Two not Listening to me and for not trying to control my pain to where its tolerable for me to sleep and do daily things that is needed during the day.. My Opinion he was more worried about getting paid from my insurance and making money instead of dealing with the "REAL PROBLEM AND ISSUES OF MY HEALTH AND PAIN" and Helping someone In need of medical help and pain and daily objective issues that couldnt go on any longer without feeling like their neck and back and shoulder and arms are gonna explode and fall of... NOT A DOCTOR FOR ME AND NEVER WILL GO TO HIM AGAIN OR SEND PEOPLE IN NEED OF HELP TO HIM EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR
