He is careing, kind, and puts you at ease. He has operated on me 2 times, if I needed surgery again I would not consider ANY one else.

Wonderful bedside manner, very knowledgeable, he puts your mind at ease. He performed my surgery for removal of my Gallbladder, I recommended him to my Mom and he performed her surgery and my sisters. What an awesome doctor.

Dr. Gould was pleasant and answered questions. He was skilled and efficient. He talked to my husband right after the surgery, and came by later to bedside. I recommend him highly. A first-rate doctor.

An outstanding surgeon. If you live in the Norfolk area and need a professional, top-notch surgeon, Dr. Gould is your guy. Nervous about my first surgery (Thyroidectomy), he made any concerns of nervousness go away. He talked to me like I was a human being. He showed compassion, is witty - but his in-depth knowledge and experience cannot be matched. I was very impressed from start to finish - with my first visit, scheduling, surgery, ordering additional tests and follow-up. Great surgical group and Sentara Leigh was a great hospital to have the surgery.

Dr. Gould is the best doctor that I have ever seen. So smart and confident. He did an excellent job with my surgery. I would recommend him to everyone.

Just before the colonoscopy and before the anesthetic had taken hold, the doctor decided to get a head start on the procedure. It was very painful and he seemed to be amused by it. I won't go to him again.
