Dr. Rani Nair

Not good. She only looks at TSH. If you have medication induced secondary hypothyroidism, she won't even listen. She will keep lowering your dosage. After a lot of research, I, myself, know that antipsychotics and antidepressants can cause low TSH and suppressed TSH; this, will also cause low free T3 and low free T4. The problem is: why don't doctors see this?

Very troubling experience and rude

Finally I found a caring doctor .I feel I am in safe hands.

Dr Rani IS a great doctor. I thought she cared about providing excellent care to her patients until recently. Recently contacted her office for an appointment to discuss and request a narrative needed for disability determination to continue benefits. They refused and said Dr Rani doesn’t do that. They referred back to primary. Explaining that the primary is NOT an endocrinologist and lacks the expertise to provide a comprehensive explanation, they still refused. I have had numerous emergency hospital admissions each year for the past 10 years due to my disease and the affects it plays on my health. The disease will never go away. By Dr Rani and staff refusing to outline my health concerns and stating without access to medical care and medications, I will die, as she has told me, they are leaving a social security worker and judge the responsibility to review my medical records and in essence practice medicine without a license. I feel she and her staff have left this… important piece to the continuation of my care go carelessly and all without Dr Rani having an explanation of what I was requesting. This too is part of our care for those of us needing narratives explaining our life threatening illnesses to those without the background in medicine to understand. This has left me feeling abandoned by the medical provider I interact with more than any other. I am disappointed in her and the staff.

I have been the patient of Dr. Radhamma for a number of years and she is one of the best doctors I have ever had. She takes a personal interest in her patients and takes the time to tailor a treatment plan that suits each one, I know she did me.

I was referred to Dr. Rani after my Type II diabetes became harder to manage. Within six months, I was under seven on my AIC and felt better. She made some minor changes in medication that have worked very well so far. My thyroid appeared to be somewhat low, and I was started on medication, which has also worked well. I find Dr. Rani to have a very positive and involved attitude about the treatment of my condition. I am sorry some others do not have the same feelings about the doctor, but I give her a five star rating on both treatment and disposition.

I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism a few years ago and Dr Rani said "we will get you on a pill and you will be back to normal" Little did I know about this disease. I was treated for 2 years by Dr Rani who consistently told me "whatever you are experiencing is not because of your thyroid" Thank the lord I read reviews and started doing my own research. Dr Rani does not even take the correct hormone tests to see if your hormone numbers are off. T4 medications only are not viable to some with severe hypothyroidism. Do your own research people and go see a new dr because you will not get any help here. she will keep telling you your numbers are normal and do NOTHING. Everyone feels differently depending on their range of current T3 and T4 hormone. Treat the symptoms-we are all not the same!!!! She does not even do the free t3 test and this is vital

The nurse was looking up a baseball team on the internet while in the room with me. The Dr told me that if my blood labs came back normal then we would try to find out what was going on from a different angle, and that we would find out what was going on. When my labs came back normal, I received an email, not a phone call that that my labs were normal, and that we would not be doing anything that we talked about in clinic and I should follow up with my PCP. She flat out lied to me. When I called to find out what the heck was going on I had to talk to someone named Cathleen, who told me that they ran every test known to endocrinology and nothing is wrong with me. This made me really mad because that was a lie to shut me up. I have been doing hours of research everyday and talking to multiple Drs and taking a few vials of my blood one time is not doing every test known to endocrinology. I was so upset this woman had me in tears and she actually had the nerve to patronize me on the… phone. When I kept asking her what about what Dr Rani had said in Clinic about running other tests to see what was going on and she would never acknowledge my question. When I asked what did I go and see s specialist for if all they were going to do was draw the same labs that my PCP had drawn before he sent me to her, and she hung up on me. This is the worst Dr I've ever been to. Not only will I not be recommending her, but I will be warning people to avoid this clinic like the plague. I'm 28 years old and my hair is falling out in clumps, and these people made me feel like I was a hypochondriac. As for her staff they are beyond unprofessional. You're in the wrong field when you have a pt on the phone in tears begging you for help and you hang up on them. I never yelled, never called anybody names, just asked them why she is not doing what she said she was going to do.

I have been suffering from Hypothyroidism for almost 4 yrs. I am constantly fatigued, hair falling out, moody, etc. I repeatedly told Dr Radhamma that my symptoms were becoming overwhelming. She said my numbers were "within normal range". After years of dealing with this I started doing my own research and found a new doctor that treats symptoms as well as your test results. You don't have to be miserable on synthroid or levothyroxine..there are other things out there and doctors who will listen. I have my life back and am back to my old self. Don't settle!!!!
