Dr. Ricardo Caceda, MD

Dr. Ricardo Cáceda is a board-certified psychiatrist. He does psychiatric evaluations, consultations, psychopharmacological (medication) management, and psychotherapy. His areas of expertise include mood disorders, trauma and anxiety of adult patients. He does in person and telehealth (online) visits in the states of New York and Florida.Dr. Cáceda is an out of network psychiatrist, meaning he does not participate in any insurance panel. Dr. Cáceda is a board-certified psychiatrist. He attended medical school at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, School of Medicine in Lima, Peru. He received his PhD in Neurosciences and completed residency in Psychiatry at Emory University, where he also pursued a neuroimaging research fellowship. He served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry in the University of Miami and in the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. More recently Dr. Cáceda was an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Stony Brook University, where he …served as the Director of the Adult Inpatient Service. Dr. Cáceda has also worked with Veterans at the Northport VA Medical Center. Since 2010, he has led a research program focused on the biological and cognitive substrates of mood disorders and suicidal behavior, the mental health impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and physicians mental health.
