Dr. Richard Martin Salib, MD

Very happy with the care given by Dr Salib. Found him easy to talk to and extremely thorough! My fusion surgery was successful and am living pain free!!

I had my first back surgery with Dr. Salib almost 25 years ago. It was a 2 level fusion anterior and posterior. He was the only Dr. who figured out where my pain was coming from and how to fix it. He is very to the point and I appreciate that about him. He always came to see me prior to surgery to reassure me. Dr. Salib along with the Low Back Institute gave me back my life again!

We are in for a Redo from the last surgery. He was late for a plane 367 days ago when he did 1st surgery. Apparently his vacation was more important than the surgery so we are back for a Redo. My guess is that he will paralyze my Mr. this time and we are terrified.

Dr. Salib was the only doc willing to do surgery on me even though I already had 5 back surgeries preformed within 5 months by 2 different docs. He fully understood my complaint of pain and that something just wasn't right, he gave myself and my wife with our 4 daughters all the time we needed of him. He fixed by failed fusion that a Neurosurgeon preformed and gave me the truth the entire time couldn't have asked for more. Best back doc ever!

I have been seeing Dr Salib since a 1999 work accident and can not be any happier about his care, bedside manner or surgical skills.

I was so happy with Dr. Salib. He was so thorough in his diagnosis and spent about 2 hrs on my first visit. I had a second opinion from another doctor and decided to go with Dr. Salib. I would highly recommend him to anyone else. I have had no problems at all with the surgery and aftercare. I did exactly what I was supposed to do to heal. I had to be patient and I think that that was key to my healing. Thank you so much Dr. Salib.

This Doctor needs to be tied to a chair & locked in a room & made to watch the movie "PATCH AHDAMS" for 7 days 24 hours everyone of those days! Even then I am not sure if he would get the message. I know of nothing that can rid an individual of such GREAT ARROGANCE such as his. Dr. Salib if you read this the Sun & the Moon DO NOT rise & set on YOU!!! Perhaps you'd do better in the coroners office. Go back & get some education on the human condition & how to treat people!

A word to the wise. Please give contact with Dr. Salib a second thought. Dr. Salib did a spinal fusion with instrumintation on me. 3-4 months later he had to take the instrumentation out because they had worked themselves loose. After several appointments asking, begging for help for relief from the excruciating pain, he very abrubtly threw me out of his office. Saying "It's your fault you're not healing, you're the failure. Now get the @&!@ out of my office!" I was so shocked. I had never ever been talked to like that by anyone let alone a doctor, (I cried all the way home). His in hospital care (bedside manner) was terrible. I just chalked that up to a possiblebad day. That is the few times he actually came in himself. I cannot tell you how freightened I was, that was never ever going to get help. Dr. Salib was the second doctor I turned to for help. The first doctor really didn't know what he was doing. That doctor sent me to doctor Salib. Maybe it was a sign… unseen. I still have excruciating pain and am in a wheelchair. Please give a second thought to the choice of the doctor you entrust your life to you DO NOT want to end up like me with no life. Again,so PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

I have only one complaint so far, and that is that you have to push to get more time with him instead of his PA. I have surgery tomorrow morning, to hopefully fix a prior failed surgery by a different dr. I'll update my review after surgery.

Dr Salib had some of the worst bedside manners I have ever seen. If you ever try to speak, he interrupts and talks over you. He acts as though no information you offer could possibly be helpful.He laughed at other doctor's diagnosis's, and does not look for anything beyond what he assumes the problem is when you walk in.He told me that in my 30's I shouldn't need to lift more than 10 lbs due to my career so I shouldn't be in any hurry to get it taken care of.This guy needs to retire.
