Time to find a new pediatrician.

At first, Dr T seems really good with kids. He only speaks to the child while seldom addressing the parent. After a few visits, I find him curt bordering on rude. I think he speaks to the child because he has trouble communicating with adults. I believe he is competent but after our visit today I won't be disappointed if I never see him again.

I was waiting on the phone for over 25 minutes today, and no one would pick up the phone in order for me to make an appointment, so now I'm extra angry. When my daughter was a baby, Dr. T was great, but now that she is older his bedside manner is off-putting. The last time she was in, he asked her how she was doing and she said "good". He abruptly replied, "If you're good, then why are you here?" He kept repeating that question over and over. She's 5 Dr. T. Give her a break. You're intimidating her. It's not the sick kids' fault you hate your job now, if that's what's going on.
