Dr. Richard Xiaojun Yan, MD

This doctor is not recommended, he gives completely false results and that shows no professional ethics or caring about his patients. He told me I suffered from asthma and that I had pulmonary emphysema. After doing some tests, it was all a lie. I sought a second opinion and I do not have asthma or emphysema. He told me without explanation that I had that and that's it, and made another appointment just to collect the money from my health insurance. Lack of humanity, professionalism, and ethics. He prescribed me some inhaled medications that I shouldn't even have used. Luckily, I found real pulmonologists and they told him not to use that because it would damage my lungs. Please do not believe this fake doctor. He is a liar and a bad doctor. I do not recommend this place. Please do not go. Do not go to that Dr. Yan, he is unprofessional.

I gave 2 stars ONLY because of caring and professional nursing care my 94 y.o. received in 2022 comparing with nursing care in 2019 when she was at Mt. Sinai hospital. My mom was admitted on Saturday to ER and after CT diagnosed with pneumonia. Dr. Yan, pulmonologist, became her doctor. First time I saw him next day for less then a min. For 2 days nobody from dr. Yan’s team and or hospital staff spoke or called about my mom’ condition(I stayed with my mom from 10 am-8 pm every day) On Tuesday I contacted patient rep, and called dr. Yan office. On Wednesday I FINALLY received a call! from dr. Yan. My mom was slightly better, PT came on Thursday, and I was told we will go home on Friday. On Friday morning Dr. Yan came, my mom didn’t feel good, but he told that at home she will be better. We went home. It was a worst sleepless night in my life. I could hear gurgling sound in her chest! I had to call 911 again So, we are In the same ER week later. After blood work and chest… x-ray I was told that my sweet mom will not survive. Honestly, I expected dr. Yan at least to call me. I was wrong! Dr. Yan just got rid of the sickly patient, my mom, like she is a lesser person because of age. He avoided talking to me for the same reason Dr. Hauter was understanding and reachable while providing comfort care for my mom. Loosing parent is difficult at any age. Dr. Yan made it extremely painful for me. To be honest, I am hurt and disgusted by dr. Yan’s behavior.

1st impression wasn’t too bad.. but don’t be fooled, he’s not a caring doctor. I would not recommend him to anyone. The staff is also horrible and slow.. Waste of time!

There are better doctors out there... First impression is ok but overall he’s not a good doctor, he’s careless and he’s quick to prescribe medications... would not recommend him to anyone.

My friend’a fathe who doesn’t speak English was told that he had to be checked up at another hospital and appointment was made for him. On the day of the appointment he went to the address just to find out that it was a huge hospital which he doesn’t where and who to speak to. I called the clinic and they told me they have no record of this patient being send to another hospital for check ups. Wow just wow.

I went to the office for an exam. It was determined that I needed antibiotics. I gave the front desk a list of my allergies one by one as they wrote them down. I told them what I can take. I get a call about 90 minutes laternif I can take thia medication or that medication, I said, those are all on my allergy list. They said okay, we'll call in what you can take,, inky yi show up at the pharmacy and see they prescribed something that was in my allergy list. I asked to speak with the Dr., it was after Friday and after his business hrs now, and he gets on the phone and says "I am not going to diagnose and prescribe over the phone. You need to come into my office Minday or Tuesday to go over your allergies. " I went to Urgent Care and they gave me the prescription required. Needless to say, I never went back to this Dr.

I was in hospital for one week saw him 3 times and he never knew who I was..prescribed something for my breating which i didn't need..I was there for heart arrythmia..This Doctor is in a fog!!!!!

Mother was in ICU on life support for breathing complications. Thank God she came out of it but due to being immobile for an extended period of time she was unable to stand or walk and in need of physical therapy. She was also not 100% rational which sometimes happens after ICU stays. The hospital social worker was setting up rehab facility for her to be transferred to to get her up and walking again so she could go home and do her daily activities and care for herself. Well all of a sudden Yan walked in and said he’s discharging her to go home because she said she wants to go. I called him and after about 6 hours he called back with a condescending attitude. I explained she was supposed to be going to a rehab which he should have known and explained she can’t walk or take one step which he should have known and I asked how would she go home like that.how would she get around the house, wash, cook, dress, use restroom. He only kept saying well she told me she wanted to leave. She did… go to rehab because social services made sure she did and was taken care of but if left up to him he couldn’t care less what would have happened to her.

Doctor Richard Yan is an excellent Doctor. My Asthma has gotten much better since I left my old Doctor and switched to him. The office is very well run and efficient. I have read some reviews about his less than stellar bedside manner which I find hard to fathom. When I first met him I was in the hospital, and I am not sure that he remembers, but he spent some quality time with me. When I am sick I want a Doctor who is going to help me quickly regardless of his bedside manner.

HE IS THE WORST FREAKING DOCTOR ON THE PLANET!!!! SO CRUEL AND NEGLIGENT. I went to Dr. Yan HANDICAPPED and he wouldn't even give me scripts for inhalers and I was suffocating in my sleep and he was so cruel and completely ignored me
