Dr. Robert Conry, MD

Was very disappointed. Laboratory, receptionist, and triage nurse were all very nice and professional. I understand that sometimes providers run behind a bit. I was seen for my 10:00 appointment after noon. I let it be known that I had a 3:00 appointment in another city, and I was assured that I would have time to make it. My real issue began when Dr Conry came in while I was ending a call with my orthopedic surgeon demanding that I take care of that later. I told him that I had been waiting for him since 10 and I should have been at home taking the call. He gave no apologies, rushed through the visit, and he wanted me to schedule a follow up in two weeks. I told him no thank you and that I would prefer a phone consult. He told me that he will call me exactly two weeks from today. I would not recommend Dr Conry if you care anything about feeling important as a patient. He may be good at what he does, I do not know yet, but his personality was a turn off and I will not be seeing him… again after I receive my test results.

No bedside manner, he was very rude, non caring, focused on computer instead of patient..questioned me about my past ( which has nothing to do with what's going on in my life right now ),even stating he didn't believe when I said we had been waiting 2 1/2 hours to see him..all of this in front of my mother as well...they were extremely busy or over booked that day..with what's going on with me , I am scared, confused and have alot of questions..but he is not a Dr. for all of that...found another Dr.

We were referred to Dr. Conry to treat our young adult child with Ewing Sarcoma. His manner was dismissive, impatient and dogmatic. He did not include us in discussion for care decisions, he didn't even barely tell us what her care plan would be. When asked about getting a 2nd opinion, he said he was 95% certain anyone would suggest the same protocol. Luckily we got a 2nd (and 3rd) opinion anyway. We discovered that his treatment plan was proven NOT to be the correct plan. We transferred to a pediatric oncologist and will be starting a research based protocol proven to be more effective. So avoid this doctor because he has terrible bed-side manner, doesn't know how to include patients in their care and because he is not up to date on best treatment recommendations.

What a shame this man is a doctor!! I went with my brother to get result of cat scan. Dr Conry came in, said hellp, went to the computer and told my brother the cyst was cancer, it was inoperable and he should go home and not schedule another appointment.. All this without looking up. Did not say a word of hope or compassion. This man needs to be dealing with animals, not people.

After given less than 3 months to live from other doctors in July 2014 I am still here with the treatment from Dr Conry. His staff is compassionate an ...

Dr Conry accurately diagnosed my lymphoma when doctors in my hometown in Florida had no ideas. I was at death's door after suffering terribly for several years. That was in 2002 After receiving treatments at the Kirkland clinic , I am still here and still traveling 500 miles for my check ups with Dr. Conry and his staff. I trust him and for me it's worth the trips.

Dr. Conry has been treating my STAGE 4 Melanoma by being very proactive. He addresses all my questions and concerns at each appointment and helped me to beat the odds thus far. I would highly recommend both he and his staff. I am living proof today that he is assertive and caring.

This doctor dropped the ball on my mom...he did nothing to help her. He is very snoody with a God-like mentality. His bedside manner was awful!! He never made hospital visits and also when my mom died, he didnt even offer his condolences. STAY AWAY FROM HIM

Great oncologist.

Dr. Conry is in the wrong profession for terminally ill patients. He sent my mother home to die and she did within 3 months in his care. He don't take after hour calls, he don't visit patients in the hospital he leaves that up to the UAB Doctors, and he don't even call the family to express his concerns once they are placed on hospice. Greed will get you no where Conry, but Karma will be everything for the way you treat cancer patients. You should be ashamed of yourself. BEWARE OF THIS DOCTOR!!!!
