Dr. Robert S. Furr, MD, FACOG

Thank you for helping me with this aweful pain I was in. I was having trouble driving and crying a bunch because I was looking for a specialist to diagnose this pain and plan to have surgery and do whatever it takes to feel better!!

I traveled six hours from North Carolina to see Dr. Robert Furr for surgery. I had to wait 3-4 months between my consult and actual surgery. He and his office were wonderful at communicating with me during this time. The surgery itself went great, I was checked on every morning while I was admitted, and I was not pushed to leave until I felt comfortable doing so. The level of care that Dr. Robert Furr has given me is beyond anything I ever experienced. I was hesitant to have a doctor who is out of state, but I would not change a thing. We have been in contact very frequently since my surgery. I am having other issues that he is keeping an eye on. He is the most thorough doctor I have ever had, as well as patient and properly concerned about his patients' concerns as a whole. If you are considering having him as your surgeon or doctor, I literally can't recommend him or praise him enough. He has saved my life and turned everything around for me.

I am 6 months post op with Dr. Furr and am much worse than before the surgery. I reached out to him for support and very generic responses were received. Very dissapointed.

I had surgery to repair my bladder and pelvic floor prolapse. My surgery was long and my recovery has been painful, but his office staff and Niko are amazing!! They’ve saw me twice since the surgery to help me get more comfortable in my healing. The surgery was done at Erlanger downtown and the staff there was AMAZING!! Dr. Furr spent time with my family after the surgery thoroughly explaining what all my surgery entailed. Top notch dr and facilities!!!

Deserves TEN stars! Dr. Furr is the Best! Had four plus hours round-trip. Dr. Furr accommodated my desire for a MINIMALLY INVASIVE female surgery. Other doctors offered ONLY more invasive and more expensive surgeries. His excellent credentials are verified by his skills and outstanding knowledge. I highly recommend him

Awesome surgeon! Removed all of my endometriosis, cured my adenomyosis and still treating me for IC. My incisions are tiny! I had little post op pain, no bleeding and healed very well.

Dr Furr was the only doctor that ever truly listened to me and diagnosis me correctly. I owe my health and happiness to him.

Dr. Furr is highly professional and a great doctor. He has helped me. His staff, however, is a nightmare to deal with. I came to Dr. Furr after being dismissed by other specialists as just anxious with IBS. I knew it was Endo. He correctly diagnosed me and did surgery to remove the Endo. He spent a good amount of time in my consultation and was thorough. Afterward, he told the staff to schedule me for a pre-surgery appointment the day before surgery and they did. They handed me a card. I live 2 hours away. When I came for the pre-surgery appointment, staff told me he was not even there that day, and that there was no appointment booked. They acted like I was crazy and demanded to see the appointment card, which I had long thrown away since I wrote it in my calendar. Incredibly frustrating. He went ahead and did the surgery the next day. He seemed to shrug off the problem at the office. He did give us his cell number, which we were able to call when I had some problems after… the surgery - and that was greatly appreciated to be able to contact him directly. After surgery, I called his office to make a 4-week post op appointment. I was told he was triple booked and could not see me, so a nurse would have to. I demanded to see my surgeon, not a nurse... HE did the surgery, HE should do the follow up - especially given that he found another disease (a lifelong one) while he was in there and I need to talk to him about this. I was told they would take a look and call me right back. After a few days I still had not heard back. I had to call back and start all over again. Finally got it scheduled but they told me since he is triple booked they are "squeezing" me in. That bothers me, when I had surgery and need my follow up, plus I need to have time to discuss a new disease with him - my treatment options, what this disease actually means, etc. It's not something I want rushed in 5 minutes. So we will see how it goes. Other frustrations with his office: the address on their website was wrong and so it got me lost, and when I called they said "Yeah, we moved and never have updated the website" and then they gave me their email address and when I try to use it, it bounces back saying it's not valid. Stuff like this with the office is a huge headache. Certainly wish the office would not triple book patients. That is not fair to any of the patients in this dr's care.

What a compassionate doctor! I went to him after I had lost hope about my endometriosis. He is very knowledgeable and performs top of the line surgery. I am 9 weeks post op from excision for endo and hysterectomy for adenomyosis (which he found and prior docs did not) and I feel so great! Thank you Dr Furr!

I will start with opeining the door to the office. First glance someone has great taste and this is not a stuffy office(very inviting). Second was the smile and invite to come in and up to the front desk. I honestly and truley can not say enough positive about this crew. The staff is wonderful and makes everyone feel comfortable. Dr Furr is amazing!!! He was present for just me, I had his full attention. De. Furr took the time undisturbed time with me. Listened to why I in his office. My first visit I was nervous about going to a new OB but 45mins later I felt that Dr. Furr listened to me why i was there, my concerns(fears) and what where my choices. I give TOP reviews to Dr. Furr and ALL his staff. Dr. Furr room assistance is the best. She makes you feel comfortable and has great bedside manners. I pass out his business card to any women who needs a GREAT doctor. Thank you all
