I was born in New Jersey but grew up in Los Angeles. I_ve wanted to be a physician since middle school because I was drawn to combining science with the art of clinical practice. I went to medical school in Iowa and the freezing weather there convinced me to move to Phoenix for my residency. Then I came to Washington for my career.
