Dr. Robert Holzman, MD

Robert Holzman, MD, MA (Hon), FAAP, is a senior associate in perioperative anesthesia in the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital and a professor of anesthesia at Harvard Medical School. He specializes in pediatric anesthesiology and perioperative care, with extensive expertise in caring for infants, children, and adolescents undergoing complex surgical procedures. Dr. Holzman earned his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in anesthesiology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, followed by fellowships in cardiothoracic anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesia at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Children’s National Medical Center. Board certified in both anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology, his career has focused on advancing pediatric perioperative safety, clinical education, and high-quality anesthesia care for children.
