Dr. Jackson and staff were all friendly and professional. But what concerned me was when I was being taken back to the exam room there was an older blonde women loudly smacking her gum and yelling on her cellular phone. I was briefly afraid this was the Dr. I was going to see and immediately became concerned. This is very unprofessional and should be addressed if Dr. Jackson cares about his reviews and how his office comes across to patients.
I had disc replacement just 3 weeks ago today and I feel fantastic! The surgery went extremely well and Dr Jackson did a fantastic job. His office staff is very friendly and so helpful. Dr Jacksons surgical coordinator, Weda is absolutely amazing! Such a great person and did an excellent job helping me not worry about a thing! A huge Thank you to everyone
Professional, Accurate with treatment, Saved my Life.
Exceptional doctor, you will know it the minute you meet him
I really enjoyed meeting him, he is to the point, friendly and wants to do the right thing by his patients.
Dr. Jackson is no doubt as good as it gets in neurosurgery. I had to go to Saddleback for shunt revision surgery since mine had stopped working.Best bedside manner I've ever encountered. Easygoing and friendly, Dr. Jackson laid out what was going to happen and why, reassuring us that it was probably the shunt drain tube that was plugged (which was the case) and not a problem with the shunt itself, but if it was the shunt he would open up my head again and replace the shunt the same morning. Answered all our questions in straightforward terms, provided clear post-surgery instructions. Hope I don't have to go back for more brain surgery but if I do it'll be to Dr. Jackson.
I was referred to Dr. Jackson by my neurologist on a 'Stat' basis. I had severe spinal compression and other issues with my neck and spine. From the moment I met Dr. Jackson I felt I was seeing the right person. He took a great deal of time to describe the results of my MRI's, what was needed to be done, the downside of not doing anything, and all aspects of the surgery and recovery. His office was spot on, giving me additional details prior to surgery, appointments with the hospital for pre op testing, and other required appointments. The office and Dr. Jackson are also in touch with the pitfalls of hospitalization. Their pre surgery instructions to prevent infection were stellar and easy to follow. Now it is my experience that surgeons cut and move on to the next patient, but aside from the surgery, Dr. Jackson took the time to work with the hospital's Acute Rehab Facility, where I was then moved after ICU and the cervical floor. Dr. Jackson's follow-up and care that I had the best recovery possible, meant so very much to me as well as my family. I highly recommend Dr. Jackson.
Dr. Jackson and his staff are outstanding in all levels of patient care. From scheduling my appointment with the lovely scheduling coordinator to getting all my pre-consultation questions answered by the delightful front desk personnel to my comprehensive diagnostic overview with the neurosurgeon, I believe I have been in the best care possible. The office is timely, professional, compassionate and gracious with their effort to insure you get back to the highest quality of life.
Dr. Jackson, took time to explain procedure and talked and answered questions after operation. The follow-up visit was nice also, didn't have to wait any length of time.
I can not thank Dr. Jackson and his staff for such an incredible experience. Front office was very friendly and greeted me with a smile. His main gal did a fabulous job of getting everything ordered and scheduled for me while I was in her office. Dr. Jackson has charged my life and I can't thank him enough. I would def recommend him to anyone who is in need of a neurosurgeon.
Everyone has the right to their opinion and I completely disagree with below comment. Dr. Jackson is an excellent doctor and his coordinator Wida was a pleasant kind hearted person. She scheduled all my appointments, gave me everything in writing and wad the most helpful office member I have dealt with. Dr. Jackson and his staff gets a thumbs up from me and I would refer anyone in need of a neurosurgeon his way.
Wida, who schedules his appointments and surgery, is very rude. She reflects poorly on his professional judgement to have her representing him. Also, unlike every other surgeon we consulted, Dr. Jackson did not have a computer in his exam room to review the MRI with us. It is in the back corner of his office behind his desk. He recommended a laminotomy and either didn't see or didn't mention a cyst pushing on my spine that other surgeons said was the cause of my sciatica.
I couldnt be more pleased with the results of the surgery performed by Dr. Robert Jackson. My back surgery was the most complex I have ever heard about from others who suffer from lower back pain. What was scheduled as a four-hour back surgery was ultimately a seven hours long reconstruction because Dr. Jackson made the effort to correct some problems remaining from two previous back operations. I think this extra effort on his part is due to his genuine concern for the long term outcome of his patients; he fully appreciates that his work can make a genuine difference in their quality of life in the future. He has made a significant difference in my quality of life as a result of this operation. In his office he is always casual and automatically makes the translations from medical terms to a laypersons vocabulary. My discussions with Dr. Jackson about my surgery and recovery have been relaxed and as though he was my longtime family physician. At the same time he exudes confidence in his skills as a surgeon and after just a few minutes into my first appointment I was without any reservations concerning the complex procedures that he would perform. During my post-op appointments he was always patient and there was no sense that he needed to rush off to another patient scheduled immediately following my appointment. He is not the god doctor that too many medical specialist would portray; no, he is the good doctor that knows his craft, has a terrific bed-side-manner and from my point of view he is one that undersells and over delivers.I am no longer a cripple and I cannot thank Dr. Jackson enough.
Dr. Jackson was amazing and has given me a new life. His coordinator who makes everything happen was more than I could have asked for in a doctors office. I wish them both the best of luck....great office and great staff!!!!
I was in a very bad lower back pain for ten years, but i had no pain any more right after the surgery. Dr. Jackson is an emasinge Doctor and human Being.
I was referred to Dr. Jackson by a close friend of mine and I, too, would highly recommend Dr. Jackson to any of my family & friends. Dr. Jackson changed my life with the back surgery he performed. I can't thank him enough for his kindness, professionalism and expertise in his profession. He runs a very efficient and professional staff, as well. All very caring and helpful.
Dr. Jackson is caring and compationate, spending time with each patient to answer questions. He treats patients with respect and is a gifted surgeon.
It comes down to this: I could barely walk when I came in, Dr. Jackson brought to bear his years of difficult training, his experience and his exceptional skills, and now I walk without pain.I would build an idol of gold for Dr. Jackson, if my insurance would cover it!
Overall experience with Dr. Jackson and his PA, Darren, fabulous! However, Dr. Jackson's office gal, Weida, can be very rude and unpleasant to deal with. She is the only negative in an otherwise excellent experience.
He is an excellent surgeon, my quick recovery time is proof of that. I believe he has good eye, hand, coordination making him very skillful in surgery, I attribute this to his athletics. He has a lot of common sense, practical, not egocentric, no vices that I can detect, a down to earth kind of guy, I believe him to be a man of integrity.
Excellent doctor and very competent surgeon. Very direct in diagnosis and treatment options. Answered all questions fully with detailed explanation of procedures to be performed and results to be expected. Results were excellent.
THIS DOCTOR IS VERY THOROUGH, HE ASSIST IN ISSUES WITH INSURANCE COVERAGE, ESPECIALLY UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD... THEY ARE ALITTLE OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY THAT CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE. MY WIFE REFERRED ME AND WHAT A CHANGE IT HAS MADE. ANOTHER DOCTOR WANTED TO FUZE ONLY 4 DISCS TOGETHER AND THIS DOCTOR SAW ANOTHER SOLUTION THAT WAS FDA APPROVED. I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL AND NOW, MY WIFE WILL BE SEEING HIM FOR HER CERVICAL AND SPINAL ISSUES.
Dr. Jackson gave me my life back. I was in such constant pain that it was all I could do to get from the bed to the bathroom. Granted it's pretty bad for 2 to 3 weeks after surgery but then you start being glad to be alive. It has been 6 six months and life is good even at 71 years old. Don't be afraid just do it with Dr. Jackson!
My surgery was successful in relieving me of intolerable pain, so it is very easy for me to write a glowing report. Dr. Jackson is very personable and caring and obviously highly skilled in a difficult specialty. His is the first name which comes up in conversation about neurosurgeons. I feel blessed in having found him.
Saw Dr Jackson as a second opinion for my back surgery and he was great. Very knowledgeable and gave me all my options so I felt like I had some control. 1 year from surgery and doing great.
I went to Dr. Jackson for back pain. I had a lumbar fusion and am now pain free after 4 years! Wida and the entire office staff were friendly, quick to return phone calls and I never had to wait long for my appointments. Dr. Jackson explained everything, listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. I highly recommend!
Dr.Jackson quite simply stated saved my husband's life with his excellent surgical skills. His communication with me and the family was detailed and he showed us compassion and concern during this most difficult time. Yes, it was brain surgery and Dr. Jackson has my heartfelt thanks for his skill and professionalism.
Dr. Jackson, his PA and his coordinator were extremely pleasant to work with. Every phone call was returned and every question was answered. My neck surgery was a success and I would definitely recommend Dr. Jackson to anyone who's looking for an outstanding Neurosurgeon.
I had the most pleasant experience with Dr. Jackson, he made me feel at ease when explaining my symptoms and next steps to my recovery. Also, his coordinator Wilda was extremely helpful in getting me an appointment and answering all my questions. I would definetely recomend Dr. Jackson to my friendds and family.

Dr Jackson repaired my cervical spine injury, he an his office were very thorough and helped me with a difficult probem. Dr Jackson gave me my life back, highly rec him
I had severe and persistent back pain, weakness in the legs that was killin me. I tried physical therapy , epidemal steroids injections, traction with no results. Dr Jackson diagnesed a spinal slippage and repaired it. I woke up after surgery and the pain was gone. I had some pain at the incision site which shortly resolved. Im a new person now and thank Dr Jackson for his expertise.
Dr Jackson is an excellent surgeon. He saved my life by removing a dangerous brain tumor. He is caring and compassionate.
Dr Jackson is very knowledgeable physician. He described the problem (a large brain tumor) and the plan to resolve it very clearly. He did a beautiful job of removing it. The staff at Mission Hospital was amazed at my recovery. At the first follow-up visit, Dr. Jackson emphasized the importance of scheduling an appointment for an MRI 3 months after surgery. He explained that a follow-up MRI was needed in order to insure that the tumor had not started to regenerate. PROBLEM: His assistant, Weeda, refused to schedule an MRI. I assume his was because I had no insurance, except through the state, although she never said so. (I was 64 and not yet eligible for Social Security/Medicare coverage.) She refused to explain why she would not schedule an appointment. She was simply very rude and dismissive. I had to wait for over a year to schedule an MRI after brain surgery.
