Dr. Robert V. Knowlan, MD

Very experienced, long time surgeon that knows his stuff. This was my 3rd joint replacement with him. Only 1 left to replace now Doc and Painless Peter, lol

During my visit I got my questions answered. He went over the pro and cons of the procedure I was needing so that I could make a decision that was best for me. Now I can make plans for a pain free years to come.

Dr Knowlan has always been willing to listen and discuss different options for treatment.

My knee surgery with Dr. Robert Knowlan was a piece of cake. I had very little pain and recovered quickly.

We didn’t go to a lot of doctors or surgeons until after Robert Knowlan miss placed and botched my daughters knee. We hadn’t notice that he has A.D.D. He placed the hamstring crooked and it was too short . Daughter had to go through many more surgeries to get it fixed through Dr. Christopher Larson . After hearing of other surgeries he is botched I would definitely not go to him ever again had I only known before hand . She still has multiple bills and long term pain.

In 2014 I had been seen at 2 other large orthopedics groups and presented with one option: total knee replacement. I have other medical problems and really wanted to avoid a major procedure. Dr. Knowlan acknowledged the extensive disease but agreed to try a repair; he repaired a large tear in the meniscus. The results were immediate and wonderful. His office is very well run, nice and responsive. This is a great place to have your knee done. If I have to have a total knee sometime in the future, I ll be back in his office.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Knowlan, St. Croix Ortho or the procedure itself. I had the procedure as an outpatient. The first week I was called everyday to find out how I was doing. I had very little pain after surgery and was back to work in 4 weeks. If I had to do it again, I would not hesitate to go to Dr. Knowlan again.

Dr. Knowlan is an amazing Dr. who did an excellent job of hip replacement. I went to him because he performs the anterior approach and because my neighbor highly recommended him. With that approach to total hip replacement, the recovery was quick, and easy with almost no restrictions. I highly recommend Dr. Knowlan for total hip surgery. I could not be happier.

Fantastic surgeon, spent as much time as needed explaining what he would do and after surgery how he did it. This was done in laymans terms .I have recommended Dr. Knowlan to two others with hip problems.
