Dr. Robert Walter Ledbetter, DO

An incredible doctor with an amazing staff! This is a doctor that actually cares about his patients. He treats your medical needs with individual attention and solutions and doesn't fall into a one-size-fits-all medical treatment. He balances his medical expertise with common sense to fit your personal needs, creating a medical plan that will result in a successful outcome. His staff is kind, helpful, proficient and efficient. They have gone above and beyond from working us in for an urgent appointment to getting insurance approval for tests and procedures. My husband had a common medical test done and it didn't show anything really "wrong", but Dr. Ledbetter was suspicious. He ran other tests with similar results, then highly suggested a catheterization. The result was that my husband had only 1 artery barely working. This led to a triple bypass, saving my husband's life. The surgeon asked what made Dr. L run all the tests he did. Our answer: He's a great doctor and he cares!

Dr. Ledbetter has been my cardiologist for many years now. He has seen me through many heart-related difficulties and his expertise is beyond question. I literally trust him with my life. He is thorough and works closely with me to adjust my medications and tests when required.

Dr Ledbetter first visited my husband, David, as the on call Dr. during an emergency hospital stay. We both appreciated his bedside manner, his dedicated pursuit of the diagnosis and care. He took time to educate the patient and the caregiver(me). So when I developed heart issues, Dr. Ledbetter was my first choice. After receiving results of ordering testing, corrective procedures where scheduled, with successful results. We continue our cardiac care with Dr. Ledbetter. The past several years I had been having serious trouble breathing. Dr. Ledbetter ordered multiple tests overtime. Even though he knew that there was something wrong, the tests were not revealing what exactly it could have been . He referred me for outside additional opinions. It is because of his steadfast persistence in diagnosing exactly what was wrong that I am alive today. Dr. Ledbetter played a large role in saving my life. He never gave up until he found what was wrong and fixed it . I would not be alive today if it were not for Dr. Ledbetter. I would highly recommend Dr. Ledbetter without reservation. Dr. Robert Ledbetter is a true professional, easy to talk to, cares about his patients and makes certain that you are fully informed and feel comfortable about your particular upcoming treatment or surgery. I can't say enough positive about the way I was treated at the Heart and Rhythm Institute both in advance of, and following my recent heart surgery. I would most certainly highly recommend him to anyone. He is a very kind and involved person- I felt comfortable each step of the way.
